As part of the Engineering Journey, you’ll help shape how 8,000+ engineers design, build, and collaborate every day. We’re building a scalable, consistent, and developer friendly platform, Nexa, and an ecosystem around it. If you enjoy working in a complex engineering landscape, influencing how thousands of developers work, and owning a product that truly matters, this is a great opportunity to make an impact.
Our Area consists of eight squads. One of the squads is responsible for context awareness. What problem does this squad primarily solve for engineering teams? Engineering and product teams across the Nexa ecosystem need trusted, well-connected, and observable contextual data. This role ensures that data can be discovered, integrated, understood, and used reliably through standardized pipelines, clear logic, and transparent usage metrics. Build and evolve the data foundation that powers Context Awareness by discovering relevant data sources, connecting them through meaningful logic, and making usage and value visible through insights and dashboards.
- Identify and onboard new data sources
- Connect data sources and build context logic
- Create insights and dashboards
- Ensure data quality and reliability
- Advisory role on how to structure and store data on the solution side
- Pragmatic delivery mindset; focuses on delivering value quickly and iterating based on feedback
- Product-oriented thinking; treats datasets as products with users and adoption metrics
- Strong collaboration; aligns closely with DevOps and application engineers on shared pipelines and contracts
- Observability-first approach; ensures data flows are debuggable, transparent, and measurable
- Ownership mentality; accountable for data from source discovery to insight delivery
We believe in the power of differences. It is precisely by combining people's differences that we become an even better bank. We are curious about what you add to our team of Engineering Journey.

We summarise this in one sentence: ‘At Rabobank, you work on yourself and the world around you at the same time. You can work on banking services for our private and business customers, as well as societal issues such as food and energy transitions.
At Rabobank, we believe we become stronger through people who complement each other. By embracing our differences, we bring out the best in one another.
