Azure DevOps Administrator Consultant/Engineer - Tech4Dev

Do you have a vision for a secure, scalable, and delightful Azure DevOps platform that helps our engineers move faster and safely?

You & your role

As an Azure DevOps Administrator Consultant/Engineer for Tech4Dev, you will join squads responsible for designing, operating, and improving the enterprise-wide Azure DevOps (ADO) platform that enables frictionless DevOps and Work-Item Management. Your mission is to automate, standardize, and simplify the developer experience—so teams can quickly and reliably onboard, plan, build, test, and deploy.

In this profile, we’re looking for an Azure DevOps platform administrator/engineer with strong consulting and scripting skills - someone who can translate user pain points into platform capabilities, automate operations with APIs and scripts, and govern Azure DevOps at scale using a data driven approach. You will work closely with your squad members, the product owner, the scrum master, and the solution architect - leveraging your engineering and stakeholder management experience to deliver real value.

Examples for practices
  • Administer Azure DevOps at scale: manage security setting and on organization and project level throughout the Azure Devops Organisation, pipelines, using service connections, approvals/checks, branch and PR policies, and audit/compliance settings.
  • Govern access and security: implement permission models using security groups and user profiles, manage access levels, enforce least privilege, and align with Azure Entra ID (AAD).
  • Automate: use Azure DevOps REST APIs and Microsoft Graph API to script and orchestrate user/project lifecycle, policy enforcement, compliance checks, and reporting.
  • Solve user pain points: engage stakeholders and engineers to map problems, design pragmatic solutions, and iterate based on feedback.
  • Insights & reporting: build or support Power BI reporting for platform health, usage, DORA metrics, governance, and compliance.
  • Data-driven platform engineering: leverage Azure Databricks, Azure Data Factory, or Azure Synapse for data processing that informs platform improvements.
  • Reliability & support: handle incidents, changes, and problem management with root-cause mindset; continuously improve documentation and self-service.
