• Salary: Gross monthly salary between EUR 4,931 and EUR 7,043 (scale 09) for a 36-hour work week.

Design and deliver production‑ready AI capabilities that improve Rabobank’s customer-facing AI Agents. You build evaluation frameworks, enhance knowledge systems, and create scalable AI services used across chat and voice channels by millions of customers. As the AI Engineer, you work closely with fellow engineers and Copilot specialists to turn AI innovation into reliable customer solutions.

• Build evaluation pipelines that automatically test and safeguard AI Agent behaviour.• Develop knowledge retrieval flows that ensure grounded, accurate answers.• Improve AI Voice Agent performance through monitoring and optimization.

• Develop scalable, production‑ready AI services that support knowledge integration, customer interaction flows, and safe deployment, ensuring long-term maintainability and reliability.• Strengthen monitoring and observability by designing systems that track behaviour, detect anomalies, and protect customer experiences across all AI Agent touchpoints.• Lead engineering improvements by integrating evaluation results, driving automation, and coordinating with multidisciplinary teams to raise AI system performance.

In this role, you work within a multidisciplinary AI team that focuses on customer-facing AI Agents, collaborating with engineers and Copilot Studio specialists to deliver robust and scalable AI solutions

• 3+ years of experience in Python engineering, including ML/AI tooling• 2+ years working with API development and CI/CD pipelines• Experience with Microsoft Azure, Databricks or MLFlow in production environments• Strong communicator who works collaboratively• Ownership mindset with a proactive approach• Analytical problem-solver with attention to detail• Skilled in navigating multidisciplinary projects• Comfortable working in fast-moving technical environments• Quality-driven and structured in delivery
