The Core Lending and Project Finance area is developing its roadmap and primarily supports internal Wholesale Lending, Finance, and Risk teams. Our focus is clear: simplify processes, improve workflows, and accelerate digitization across loan administration, servicing, and reporting.

As a QA Engineer in the Core Lending and Project Finance area, you will work at the intersection of business, IT, and operations. You will play a critical role in embedding quality into every stage of our product development and delivery cycles, supporting our journey squads and DevOps teams as we scale our automation and digitization efforts for loan administration, servicing, and reporting.

As part of our commitment to operational excellence and digital transformation, we are seeking a skilled and passionate QA Engineer to join our Core Lending and Project Finance area within the Financing Journey tribe. This role is pivotal in ensuring the reliability, quality, and compliance of our global lending solutions, impacting both our internal organization and the customers we serve.

Our area is diverse and dynamic – our teams count about 15 nationalities, our end-users and stakeholders reside in different locations across the globe. The base location for this role is the Netherlands and we work in the Rabobank office twice per week with other NL-based staff.

• Improve the reliability of global lending solutions by increasing automated test coverage across critical journeys
• Accelerate safe releases by embedding quality gates within continuous delivery pipelines
• Strengthen audit-readiness by ensuring traceability from requirements to test outcomes

• 40 hours per week
• Teams work across the Netherlands, Romania and India

• Design, implement and maintain scalable automated testing solutions supporting complex lending platforms and cross-functional DevOps teams.
• Embed quality ownership within product teams by aligning testing strategies with business, regulatory and operational needs.
• Act as a senior quality partner who elevates testing maturity, mentors colleagues and safeguards end-to-end delivery quality.

This role is positioned within the Financing Journey tribe, supporting Core Lending & Project Finance by enabling quality-driven delivery across global wholesale banking processes.

• 5+ years of experience in QA automation or software testing
• Strong analytical thinker able to simplify complex processes
• Excellent communication and stakeholdermanagement skills
• Proven ability to collaborate in a global, cross functional environment
• Customer focused, able to bring different viewpoints together

• Solid experience with automation frameworks (ideally Playwright with JavaScript/TypeScript)
• Strong background in BDD and test management tools
• Performance testing expertise
• Good SQL skills and understanding of database technologies
• Experience with cloud platforms (Azure/AWS) and CI/CD (Azure DevOps or AWS)
• Familiarity with low‑code platforms such as Appian
• Test data management, including synthetic data generation 
• Knowledge of containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Experience in Microsoft Azure DevOps for test orchestration and reporting.
