Join Rabobank as a Senior Power BI Engineer at the Information Factory Payments & Savings (IFP) and help us turn complex data into clear, actionable insights. IFP is a key data warehouse that processes large volumes of payments and savings data daily. We support business partners with dashboards, reports, and visualizations that enable better decision-making

You and your job
  • Design, develop, and optimize Power BI dashboards and reports by creating intuitive and visually compelling visualizations to communicate key metrics and trends, while applying best practices to ensure fast-loading and seamless interactivity
  • Collaborate closely with Data Engineers, Business Analysts and business stakeholders, to translate complex data into actionable insights for business decision makers
  • Develop and maintain ETL processes to fetch data, integrate it into our data warehouse and prepare it (dimensional data modelling) to be used in front-end reporting
  • Conduct data modelling by cleaning, reshaping, and unifying data from multiple sources to ensure optimal performance, usability, and consistency across BI solutions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of data solutions and standards
Practical examples of products or services
  • Reports for product managers to conduct hypothesis testing for data-driven decision making and identifying trends and opportunities in new markets to support product and feature development
  • Dashboards for business decisions makers to monitor the KPIs and steering the business
  • Visualizations for operational processes used daily in our banking environment
  • Self Service BI datasets and environments for product managers to explore data, conduct root-cause analysis, and gain insights on their products

Top 3 responsibilities
  • Design, develop, optimize and maintain interactive dashboards and reports
  • Develop ETL process, optimize data models, DAX formulas, and Power Queries for large-scale performance, fast-loading, and seamless interactivity and usability
  • Advise stakeholders on visualization and reporting solutions

You are a senior guide for your colleagues, presenting complex solutions clearly and taking initiative to improve development standards, workflows, technical configurations, and team alignment

Together with your squad you create and implement new functionalities and the best solutions

You will stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies to enhance data engineering and visualization practices.

You and your talent
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree, preferably in IT or Computer Science, Data Analytics, or Business Intelligence
  • At least 5 years of experience of working with Power BI services in production (managing workspaces, data modelling practices, gateways and deployment pipelines) and advanced data visualization in a complex insight landscape
  • Strong knowledge and working experience of ETL using SQL with large datasets, advanced DAX, and Power Query for large-scale BI solutions, and data modelling for optimal performance
  • Creative and communicative: able to turn complex data into understandable insights for non-technical stakeholders
  • Working experience with Databricks is a big plus
  • Strong problem-solving skills to identify root-causes of data anomalies and optimize queries for performance
  • Highly pro-active and motivated personality; you take initiative and show ownership when facing obstacles
  • Experience of working with Agile/Scrum methodologies
