Data Steward – Tribe Housing [Squad Rabvion]

With your knowledge of financing processes and the underlying data (models), you are able to map out data quality and data availability for Obvion data within Rabobank. For our banking processes and both internal and external reporting, you safeguard the data and work together with the business to ensure that the quality of financing data meets the required standards. You are the go‑to Data Steward within two squads specifically set up for the onboarding of all Obvion data into Rabobank. This is a new collaboration that offers plenty of freedom to shape together with the two teams within Rabobank and Obvion.

You & Your Role

As a Data Steward, you share responsibility for providing timely, accurate, and complete data to various stakeholders. With your in‑depth knowledge of financing processes and related data, you act as the first point of contact for consumers of Obvion data within Rabobank who have questions about the data, data models, and logistical processes. Additionally, you ensure that data management around these processes complies with all relevant laws and regulations. Together with our stakeholders, you define requirements for delivering and monitoring data, report on data quality, and play an important role in implementing all data management aspects for Obvion data.

You act as a key link between the Business (Rabobank and Obvion) and IT. You maintain stakeholder relationships and translate requirements into actionable deliverables for our IT partners. Your responsibilities cover a wide range of our data principles, as described in the Global Procedures on Data Management. You serve as the point of contact for implementing monitoring on data reported by Obvion and for data models used within Rabobank. You are also the first point of contact for monitoring operational data generated during financing processes.

Examples from the Field
  • Managing all data management processes within two squads
  • Translating and defining functional requirements between Business and IT
  • Setting up monitoring for the quality of Obvion data and implementing processes to manage data quality
  • Collaborating with partners and other data stewards within Tribe Housing, Obvion, and the Reporting and Model chains
Facts & Figures
  • Tribe Housing is one of Rabobank’s largest data producers
  • 25 data requests per month
  • 43,822 Rabobank colleagues worldwide
Top Responsibilities
  • Implementing and executing data management processes
  • Safeguarding all data management requirements related to financing data quality
  • Coordinating data management issues in collaboration with Obvion and actively contributing to data and process compliance

You won’t do this alone. You will work closely with two multidisciplinary teams, including developers, business analysts, subject‑matter experts, and fellow Data Stewards within Tribe Housing. You actively seek collaboration with all stakeholders to ensure the partnership between Rabobank and Obvion is successful. Together, you continuously improve our data management approach by learning from one another and developing best practices.

Together We Achieve More

We believe in the power of differences. By combining diverse perspectives, we become an even better bank. We are eager to learn what you can contribute to our team of Data Stewards.

“The dynamic environment, with a broad field of stakeholders, and the versatility of the role, where one day you define and implement data quality requirements and the next you work on analytical questions related to data availability, makes this a challenging position that allows you to grow and explore the Rabobank landscape.”

The Data & Calculations Cluster within Tribe Housing is the expertise center for data regarding Rabobank’s mortgage portfolio. Speaking of Rabobank: we are a Dutch bank active in 38 countries, serving more than 9.5 million customers. Together with our customers, members, and partners, we work toward a world where everyone has enough healthy food. Closer to home, we work toward a country where people can live, work, and do business happily. You will be working within Rabobank, specifically for two squads supporting Obvion.
