Supplier Assurance & Audit Specialist

You play a key role in safeguarding Rabobank’s supply chain integrity. As a senior member of the team you organize audits for critical suppliers and manage assurance documentation reviews (SOC1, SOC2, ISO, etc) and you help us ensure compliance and reduce risk. Together, we build trust and resilience in our global network.

You and your jobProcurement & Vendor Management (PVM) is a unit within Rabobank of approximately 100 FTE with a global procurement responsibility. The PVM department contributes to a strong cooperative bank by ensuring that the billions of euros spent with third parties is done cost-effectively, with high levels of quality and we remain in control of current and emerging risks.

This position is part of the Supply Risk Management Policies, Risk and Oversight team (SRM-PRO) as part of PVM. The SRM-PRO team ensures that 1) all applicable laws and policies are embedded in our way of working in Rabobank, 2) these processes are followed first time right, and 3) we perform oversight by bringing insights and reporting to the business to manage their supplier risks. In addition, the SRM-PRO team is responsible for regulatory reporting on third party risk.

Key responsibilities

• Organize and implement audits for critical suppliers.
• Manage the process and outcomes of supplier assurance document reviews (SOC1, SOC2, ISO certifications) including tracking findings and remediation actions, ensuring timely follow-up.
• Collaborate with Risk, Compliance, Procurement, Vendor management, and IT Security teams.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of supplier assurance processes.

You and your talent

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Risk Management, or related field.
• Familiarity with SOC reports, ISO standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Strong organizational and stakeholder management skills.
• Audit or compliance certifications (CISA, ISO Lead Auditor) are a plus.
• 8+ years in internal audit, risk assurance, or regulatory compliance within financial services and experience with supplier audits and compliance frameworks.
• Proven track record in challenging senior stakeholders and influencing decision-making. 
• Strong knowledge of third party risk management regulations such as EBA Outsourcing Guidelines, DORA, Recovery and Resolution. 
• Deep understanding of third-party risk management frameworks and operational resilience requirements. 
• Exceptional communication and negotiation skills, capable of engaging with executive leadership. 
• Analytical mindset with the ability to synthesize complex information into clear recommendations.
