Practical examples
  • You are part of an empowered self-performing team.  Your voice is heard and you contribute directly to the product, or service, your squad is responsible for.
  • Design and build responsible and cost effective GenAI solutions for up to 9,5 million Rabobank customers.
  • Convert a use-case specific code base to re-usable building blocks used by 100+ tech teams.
  • Pair-program with members of your squad and across other Squads within Rabobank to solve critical or complex problems.

Top responsibilities
  • Contribute to the design and implementation of GenAI solutions, leveraging Azure services such as Azure OpenAI Service, Azure Databricks, Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), Azure Functions, and others.
  • Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps, Terraform, and Bicep to automate deployment and cloud infrastructure provisioning.
  • Build and maintain Python-based microservices and automation tools to streamline GenAI workflows and manage infrastructure.
  • Integrate and manage GenAI products to support complex multi-step workflows and decision-making processes.
  • Ensure performance, reliability, and security of GenAI workloads in cloud-native environments.

Collaboration & Delivery
  • Work closely with Data Scientists, Solution Architects, Product Owners, and Engineers to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions.
  • Participate in the development of robust and scalable AI workflows including prompt chaining, memory management, and agent orchestration.
  • Communicate technical concepts clearly within cross-functional teams.
  • Support integration of GenAI capabilities into existing platforms and services.

Growth & Contribution
  • Continuously improve engineering practices and contribute to team knowledge sharing.
  • Stay up to date with emerging GenAI technologies and cloud-native patterns.
  • Participate in code reviews, design discussions, and sprint planning.

Technical Ownership

  • Build robust Python-based microservices and automation scripts to support GenAI workflows and infrastructure provisioning.
  • Ensure security, compliance, and performance optimization across GenAI workloads.

Stakeholder Management:

  • Communicate technical concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders and influence decision-making.

Required Qualifications

  • 2–4 years in technical roles such as DevOps, Software Engineering, ML Engineering, or Data Science.
  • Practical experience with cloud platforms - Azure (preferred), AWS, or GCP.
  • Proficiency in Python for development, automation and API integration.
  • Hands-on experience developing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines for GenAI applications using tools like Azure DevOps, Terraform, Kong and Bicep to automate deployment and cloud infrastructure provisioning.
  • Experience with containerization (Docker) and exposure to orchestration tools (Kubernetes).
  • Hands-on experience deploying AI workloads (preferably Generative AI or agentic systems) in development or staging environments.
  • Basic familiarity with Generative AI, including LLM application development frameworks (e.g., LangChain, LlamaIndex), agentic frameworks (e.g., LangGraph, CrewAI, AutoGen), and AI workflow orchestration concepts.
  • Understanding of vector databases and Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) patterns at a conceptual level.
  • Awareness of security and monitoring practices for cloud and AI systems.
  • Knowledge of API development and integration; exposure to API gateways is a plus.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively within Agile teams (SCRUM or Kanban).
