You & your role

The FEC CDD RNL Detection department plays a critical role in Rabobank’s financial crime prevention strategy. Our mission is to identify customer profiles and behaviours that may indicate money laundering or terrorist financing. To support this, Rabobank operates advanced detection platforms that continuously assess customer risk, enabling timely identification and escalation of suspicious activity.

As a Tech Lead within the CDD RNL Detection area of FEC Tech, you will lead squads that develop and maintain solutions for customer due diligence detection. Your focus will be on ensuring operational stability, compliance, and continuous improvement of our detection capabilities. By guiding teams working with critical systems, you will help shape a secure and resilient banking environment.

Achieve results
  • Strengthen IT stability and compliance within the CDD RNL Detection area.
  • Collaborate with IT partners to improve delivery processes and operational efficiency.
  • Inspire and coach high performing engineering squads.
  • Contribute to strategic goals of CFECO and CITO.

Facts & figures
  • 36/40 hours per week.
  • You will lead several squads, each responsible for a part in the customer due diligence risk detection chain.
You & your responsibilities
  • Represent the Tech domain within the CDD Detection area, as a member of the tech leadership team.
  • Ensure IT stability, security, and compliance in line with Simplify@Scale governance.
  • Lead multiple squads, with responsibility for team growth and performance.
  • Collaborate with teams working with technologies such as Databricks, Python, Camunda, Airflow, Oracle and Azure DevOps.
  • Manage dependencies across FEC Tech and other domains.
  • Foster a culture of psychological safety, curiosity, and collaboration.
  • Promote engineering excellence through strategic hiring, coaching, and best practice
  • Facilitate cross-squad learning and maturity by encouraging knowledge sharing and documenting
  • Identify and implement growth opportunities in a continuously evolving environment.

You & your talent
  • Academic-level thinking and working ability.
  • 3–5 years of experience in a leadership or coordinating IT role within complex environments (experience as a Tech Lead within Rabobank is a plus).
  • Proven experience with DevOps teams and Simplify@Scale (S@S).
  • Experience in Databricks, Camunda and Azure DevOps is a big plus.
  • Passion for people management and collaboration across diverse teams.
  • Strong interest in digitalization and cloud technologies.
  • Strong proficiency in English, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to balance interests and risks effectively in partnership with the business.
