The Role
Are you ready to make a real impact across Rabobank’s digital landscape? As a DevOps Engineer in our Squad Accelerators, you’ll play a key role in building smart, scalable solution to support over 95 DevOps teams within the Digital Customer Interactions and Customer Journey Insurance & Pension tribes.
Your work directly improves the developer experience and accelerates delivery across critical parts of Rabobank’s IT ecosystem. You won’t just build software – you’ll enable others to perform faster.
As a mid-level IT4IT DevOps Engineer, you will:
- Support and consult DevOps teams on cloud-native engineering, automation, observability, and infrastructure – as-code.
- Develop and implement solutions that streamline operations across the full DevOps lifecycle: build, deploy, monitor and operate.
- Act as a liaison between squads, tribes and other IT departments to align priorities and technical direction.
- Continuously improve tooling, CI/CD pipelines, monitoring setups, and cloud environments to make engineering more efficient.
You’ll be part of the team that helps the rest of the organization move faster – with fewer roadblocks and more control.

We work in agile squads with shared ownership. The squad Accelerators team acts as a multiplier: we solve engineering bottlenecks, develop reusable building blocks, and help squads elevate their way of working.
You’ll be working with and around:
- CI/CD & DevOps set up: Azure DevOps, YAML pipelines, Git
- Languages & Scripting: Python, Java, Shell
- Cloud Platforms: Azure (primary), AWS (optional but preferred)
- Infrastructure – as - Code: Terraform
- Monitoring & Observability: StackState, Splunk, Dynatrace, Azure Monitor
- Security & Automation: REST APIs, PKI, certificate management
- Cloud Native Principles: containerization, automation
Experience with monitoring platforms or governance- as – code is a plus.
- 3+ years’ experience as a DevOps engineer in a complex IT environment
- Strong knowledge of Python or other scripting languages
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps lifecycle practices
- Familiarity with Azure Cloud ( AWS experience is a bonus)
- A solid grasp of monitoring, logging and troubleshooting in production environments
- An analytical mindset and problem-solving attitude
- Great communication skills and enjoy working in a team
- Experience working Agile/Scrum
- Experience or strong interest in AI technologies such as machine learning, OpenAI APIs, or conversational AI to enhance automation or developer workflows
- Bonus: Experience in financial services or regulated environments
- Fluent in English ( Dutch is a Plus)
