Authorisation Specialist – Identity & Access Management (IAM)

As an Authorization Specialist within the Identity & Access Management (IAM) team at Rabobank’s Wholesale & Rural (W&R) COO division, you’ll be at the forefront of protecting our systems, data, and facilities. Your mission: to ensure the right people have the right access at the right time—enhancing compliance, minimizing risk, and enabling secure operations across our international landscape.

You’ll be part of a newly established IAM Desk, where your initial focus will be on building and launching this new function to support staff securely and efficiently. Based at our Head Office in Utrecht, you’ll work closely with regional IAM teams, supporting operations across Europe, Africa, and Asia.

• RBAC Design & ImplementationDesign, implement, and maintain Role-Based Access Control (RBAC) models that align with business needs and security standards across the region.
• Cross-Team CollaborationPartner with regional IAM desks to establish an IAM Forum, share best practices, and ensure seamless role design and implementation.
• Governance & ReportingReport directly to the Senior Manager of Continuity and Information Security W&R, contributing to IAM governance, compliance monitoring, and regular reporting.
• Process OptimizationDrive the development and continuous improvement of IAM processes and frameworks.
• Stakeholder EngagementAct as a trusted advisor and ambassador for IAM, clearly communicating processes and best practices to W&R staff and leadership.
• Expertise & RepresentationRepresent W&R in cross-domain IAM meetings and act as a subject matter expert on complex authorization challenges.

You’ll join a diverse and collaborative team of 9 professionals within the Continuity and Information Security team which form part of an overarching Business Management team for the COO of W&R. This overarching team consists of Business Continuity, Risk and Security Specialists, Business Consultants, and fellow IAM experts. Together, we support all COO offices globally and contribute to the broader Rabobank mission of staying in control and compliant.

• A proactive, self-starting attitude with a strong sense of ownership
• Bachelor’s degree in ICT or a related field
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in IAM, with a focus on RBAC in complex environments
• Solid understanding of IAM principles, including authentication, authorization, and access control
• Familiarity with risk and security frameworks (e.g., R-IC, SAM)
• Experience with One Identity tooling (preferred)
• Excellent Communication skills in English
• A mindset geared toward continuous improvement and innovation
