We are looking for a seasoned Communications Professional to lead and elevate the internal communications strategy within the Security Learning, Drill & Awareness team. This role is ideal for a strategic thinker with a passion for storytelling, behavioral change, and cybersecurity awareness.

As a Senior Security Awareness Communications Specialist, you will be a key driver in designing and executing impactful communication strategies that foster a security-first mindset across the organization. You will work closely with senior stakeholders, subject matter experts, and cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality, engaging, and measurable communication initiatives.

• You have a background in or strong affiliation with information security topics.
• A strategic mindset with the ability to translate complex security topics into compelling narratives.
• A strong sense of ownership and the ability to lead communication initiatives from concept to execution.
• Experience in influencing behavioral change through internal communications, campaigns, and engagement programs.
• A deep understanding of tone of voice, branding, and data-driven communication strategies.
• Acquaintance with regulatory requirements NIST, DORA, ECB regarding information security.

• Lead the development and execution of global security awareness campaigns in collaboration with SMEs and leadership.
• Craft high-impact content for internal platforms (e.g., SharePoint, Viva Engage), newsletters, information security training and community management.
• Stakeholder management: Support the organization to select important security topics for the organization.
• Measure and report on the effectiveness of campaigns and engagement activities, using insights to continuously improve.
• Mentor junior team members and contribute to the evolution of the team’s communication maturity.
• Event management: responsible for security agenda; stakeholder management; budget management.
• Regulatory reviews and audit contribution on security awareness topics.

Strategically manage and measure the global Security Awareness Campaigns calendar.

Lead and co-create high-visibility internal events and engagement initiatives. Ensure consistency and quality of security-related content across all internal channels.

• University/HBO degree in Communications, Cyber Security, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in internal communications, preferably in a complex or regulated environment.
• Proven track record in leading communication campaigns and influencing organizational culture.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English (mandatory); Dutch is a plus.
• Experience with SharePoint, Viva Engage, and other internal communication tools.
• Preferred: Certifications or training in security (e.g., SANS SSAP, CISM) or change/engagement (e.g., Prosci, Behavioural Change).
