A salary in scale 10 or scale 11 could be applicable to this vacancy. This is highly depending on your experience and a comparison with the peers working in the same role which is further determined in the interviews.

You and your job

As a W&R Transaction Monitoring Specialist, you play a critical role in safeguarding the bank's reputation and ensuring that it adheres to the required standards of regulatory compliance.

You have the opportunity to support the Head of TM W&R in developing and implementing the One FEC TM end-to-end lifecycle and FEC Global TM strategy, overseeing TM in the Regions. You will work closely with other TM Pillar teams, FEC W&R and FEC Operations in the Regions. You will help to ensure effective information sharing and coordination between these teams by participating in governance activities, generating and sharing MI and other insights. You will leverage your expertise in Transaction Monitoring (TM) to support the regions to be effective and efficient in their TM Operations, analysing regional operational practices, requirements and challenges, tracking and managing findings, observations and issues related to TM W&R, and helping to ensure timely resolution. You will also take part in projects and activities to enhance the TM control framework.

Your Responsibilities:
  • Support the Head of TM W&R to further develop and implement the One FEC TM end-to-end lifecycle and FEC Global TM strategy and oversee TM in the regions.
  • Support the regions to be effective and efficient in their TM Operations.
  • Identify, understand, and document regional operational practices, requirements, and requests, providing helpful insights as required.
  • Work closely with the other Pillar teams to support the effective servicing of the Regions, delivery of change, and implementation of the TM Strategy.
  • Support effective information sharing and coordination between the Regional teams, FEC W&R, and the FEC Pillars.
  • Track and manage findings, observations, and issues related to TM W&R, helping to ensure timely resolution.
  • Support projects and activities to enhance the TM control framework.
  • Communicate with and report to the Regions about matters relevant to TM.

You and your talent
  • Relevant Bachelor’s or Master’s degree
  • AML-related training and accreditations
  • Experience in or with TM Operations (alert/case management)
  • Knowledge of policies, procedures, and regulatory frameworks
  • Understanding of risk assessment and management concepts
  • Understanding of TM data and detection configuration (typologies, scenarios, segmentation etc)
  • Strong problem-solving skills and detail-oriented with an analytical mindset
  • Can-do attitude, comfortable working independently and with ambiguity
  • Ability to interpret data, generate insights, and create MI
  • Team player and network builder
  • Excellent written and spoken English communication skills
  • Competence with Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
  • A valid work permit for the Netherlands is required
