Junior Business Manager Corporate Finance EU – temporary contract

Temporary Work Assignment for 6-8 months (starting in June)

That your communicative and organisational skills play an essential role in realizing various activities, tasks and projects aimed at further improving the Corporate Finance Europe team. As a Junior Business Manager, you are the backbone of our team, supporting both the Junior Manager and the Global Business Manager. Your role will be all about keeping things running smoothly, from organizing and coordinating tasks to tackling administrative and subject-specific challenges.

You'll shine by knowing what's important and what's not, staying cool under pressure, and always thinking of solutions. Your curiosity and drive to explore new ideas will set you apart. You're a team player who connects effortlessly with others and handles tasks with finesse and tact. Practical solutions are your forte, and you embody a hands-on mentality.

Collaboration

  • Support the team: as the Junior Business Manager, you'll work closely with the Junior Manager, Pool Staffer, and Global Business Manager of the Corporate Finance team.
  • Join a vibrant team: You'll be part of the CF NL department, working harmoniously with 70 enthusiastic colleagues.
  • Mentor and collaborate: You'll collaborate with Management Assistants and act as their mentor on various matters, fostering a supportive and productive environment.

Practical examples of responsibilities

  • Juggle multiple projects: You'll manage several exciting projects simultaneously, like the performance review cycle and the Global Short Term Assignments program.
  • Lead presentations and meetings: You'll be in charge of creating and delivering monthly update presentations and leading team meetings.
  • Make an impact: You'll have the chance to contribute to various internal initiatives, such as "Doing Good" and organizing social events.
  • Event planning: You'll plan and execute both internal and external events, ensuring everything runs smoothly and meets its goals.
  • Drive innovation: You'll take the initiative to propose and lead your own projects within the department, using your creativity and expertise to drive innovation and improvement.

Collaboration is our way of working. You are part of the Corporate Finance Europe Business Support team, utilizing your skills to streamline our work for the Corporate Finance domain.

You and your talent

Naturally, you are customer-focused, possess excellent analytical abilities, and can handle resistance with ease. Additionally, you work independently, are proactive, results-oriented, and pay attention to details. These qualities make you an excellent Business Support Officer, especially when combined with:

  • Completed HBO Bachelor’s degree, preferably in business administration
  • Project Management skills (maintain overview, structured way of working, ensure follow-up on actions and deadlines)
  • 3+ years of work experience in the financial sector
  • Excellent command of English
  • Familiarity with various programs such as PowerBI, PowerPoint, Excel, Word & Teams
  • Service-oriented, pragmatic, and a team-oriented mindset
  • Eager to learn on the job
