As a Global Privacy Officer, you enable our first-line colleagues to balance risk, return, and sustainability, impacting the privacy of millions of customers.
You and your job
Providing great privacy advice to our first-line colleagues, you help balance risk, return, and sustainability as part of the Data Protection Specialists (DPS) team in the Global Privacy Office. The DPS team consists of circa 10 colleagues and reports to the Global Data Protection Officer.

- Advising on data protection impact assessments (DPIAs) and personal data breaches.
- Acting as a contact point for requests from individuals regarding their personal data.
- Transferring knowledge and skills to first-line stakeholders by hosting trainings.

Top 3 responsibilities
- Provide actionable advice on privacy-related issues on behalf of the Data Protection Officer.
- Act as a contact point for requests from individuals on the processing of their personal data and the exercise of their rights and the Dutch Data Protection Authority on issues relating to processing.
- Inform and advise our colleagues in the first line of responsibility on data privacy and record keeping.

The 10 people in the DPS team advise the organization on privacy related-issues, support data subjects as an escalation point, and cooperate with the Dutch Data Protection Authority. Working together is the way we work; as 1 expert team at Rabobank.

You and your talent

- BSc or MSc degree in a relevant field;
- +10 years (with BSc) or +5 years (with MSc) of relevant working experience, e.g. in roles in Information Security, Compliance, Risk, or Audit. Working experience as a (delegated) Data Protection Officer is a plus;
- You are passionate about Data Protection. Proved knowledge, for instance through a CIPP/E certification, is a plus.
- You actively contribute to collaborative efforts, leveraging diverse perspectives to create a positive impact achieving collective goals;
- You navigate change & uncertainty with flexibility, adaptability, and a proactive mindset.
- You present yourself in an impactful and inspiring way in both Dutch & English.
