Do you want to make an impact on the daily work experience of more than 8.000 Rabobank developers worldwide?
Employees expect the same thing as customers: well-designed experiences. This is also the case for Developers. The IT landscape is becoming increasingly complex and at Rabobank we are well on our way to delivering an excellent engineering experience. This means reducing the cognitive load and making sure developers can focus on delivering business value, getting new engineers quickly onboarded and streamline how we provide and consume (internal) services. Does this resonate with you? We are looking for a UX Designer to help create a seamless engineering journey.
You and your job
As a designer in Chapter Design, you will join the Agency team, be work on new products and services and/or improving the experience of existing ones. You will collaborate with the product and technology specialist from Tribe Tech4Engineering, a department that is responsible for innovative internal products and services for our engineers. This is a complex environment where lots of impact can be made, so get ready for the challenge!
You are able to empathize with our engineers in order to translate their needs into validated, digital solutions that make their lives easier. For this, you will collaborate in multidisciplinary teams together with the business, product owners, developers, behavioural scientists and other experts.
Your role
As a UX designer, your main task will be to research, conceptualize, design and improve user journeys for internal solutions aimed towards developers. You will work together in a small design team and provide our internal stakeholders with both reactive and proactive advice to tackle business and design challenges.
Your responsibilities
- Align - and challenge - internal stakeholders about design projects, the approach and scope of deliverables.
- Structure and lead internal design projects, support other designers and researchers and collaborate with front-end developers and other stakeholders to ensure a high-quality outcome and implementation of pixel-perfect designs.
- Work together with other designers and be responsible for all steps in the research and design process to make the right choices from a user centred perspective. If necessary, you involve other designers and specialists to help you with this.
- Apply the Rabobank design system during concept development and design new components to extend our library.
- Validate your own work with mock-ups, prototypes and usability testing.
Your talent
We are looking for a T-shaped UX designer who can use creativity, problem-solving and communication skills to navigate the complex context of a bank and IT.
- You have at least 10 years of experience in UX design and confidently take responsibility and ownership of large, complex design projects while being able to translate complex problems into simple and intuitive solutions.
- You see the challenge in working with complex user interfaces and you are both a structured strategic thinker and a creator of pixel-perfect designs.
- You conveniently manoeuvre through large organisations and know how to get support for your ideas and concepts.
- You are fluent with design and prototyping tools like Figma, and strong in user research methods and creative facilitation.
- Knowledge of- and/or demonstrable affinity with Service Design methodologies is a plus.
- You have experience with delivering final designs and supporting the development teams to implement them.
- You can communicate professionally in English.
Together we achieve more
