We are looking for a senior Frontend developer. In this role we expect you to show us your best coding skills, and also guide the team along with you, bring structure where needed and to have an eye for overall quality. This includes the DevOps responsibility and working together with the other developers to stand for the overall quality of the products and services we deliver. 

We are adding support for dark mode and UI scaling to our applications. If you consider yourself an accessibility hero, we could really use your help to speed-up these processes.

  • We're working in full-fledged DevOps teams. You are not only responsible for changing and deploying your application, you will also do what is in the customers best interest to keep it stable. This can include standby shifts on weekdays and over the weekend. Also by focussing on far reaching automation for all testing, deploying and monitoring you will help to improve the DevOps delivery. 
  • You are capable of taking over the basic activities of other DevOps team members in case necessary, like performing business analysis, coding, executing tests or support activities.

You and your talent

  • You are a senior frontend developer. 
  • Bachelor- or Masterdegree
  • >5 years of work experience as a Frontend developer.
  • You are not afraid to put forward your ideas, but are also good at listening to the ideas of others. 
  • You are customer focused and able to appreciate the bigger picture. 
  • You show initiative and has a lot of tenacity and drive.
  • You enjoy learning and experimenting. 
  • Demonstrated ability to follow development best practices;
  • Experience with modern web frameworks and/or libraries
  • Experience with TypeScript and modern Javascript (ES6);
  • Experience in writing unit tests and integration tests for web applications;
  • Experience in applying the WCAG guidelines
  • Scrum way of working and DevOps mentality (writing user stories, contributing to Scrum ceremonies, testing, monitoring applications using tools such as Splunk, Dynatrace).
  • Knowledge of architectural principles.
  • Fluent English is a must.
  • Great analytical and problem-solving skills

As a Principal Engineer, you are the visionary who supports technical projects and brings advanced data solutions to life. Your role is crucial in shaping the technical architecture, designing innovative systems, and implementing solutions that manage and analyze data optimally. And when necessary, you step in to solve high-urgency issues.

With Your Talents

It is logical that innovation, coaching, impact, communication skills, and vision are indispensable for the role of Principal Engineer. Additionally, it is important that you recognize yourself in the following checklist:

  • Demonstrable academic level (Master) in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. 
  • Your programming skills (10-15 years of experience) are sharp, with expertise in languages such as Python and SQL, but the exact language doesn't matter to you. 
  • You have extensive experience with Azure services such as Azure Datalake Gen2, Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, and Azure SQL Database or perhaps Airflow. 
  • You are a trusted coach and thought leader within your field, especially regarding future developments in technical languages and techniques. 
  • Outside the organization, you have built a network. 
  • Within your expertise, you are known in the community and share knowledge and skills. 
  • Innovation is in your DNA, and you play a leading role in exploring new technologies and actively contributing to innovation within the organization. 
  • Your ability to provide advice is unparalleled, and you are an essential link in the Agile work process. 
  • Achieving consensus between teams for complex technical solutions is second nature to you.
