You and your job

As a senior data management consultant you use your extensive data management and banking skills /experience to drive our data management ambitions. Accessible data of the highest quality is key in enabling the Rabobank to achieve her strategic goals. A rock solid bank needs high quality data, commercial processes need high quality data and the digitization trends needs high quality and consistent data. As a senior data management consultant you can speak the language at all levels within the organization (strategic, tactical, operational) and you are able to translate this to solutions and/or advise to the stakeholders and our team.

Practical Examples

  • Advising senior management on data management vision, strategic objectives and results
  • Work together with Tribes and Chapters throughout the organization to help implement our data management standard and procedures (like i.e. data governance, data quality monitoring, aligning data definitions). You are the authority on our data management way of working.
  • Help Rabobank execute on the Managing Board strategic priority on Data Management by making business critical reports and models compliant to our data management standard and procedures.
  • Provide guidance (stakeholders) and inspiration (literacy program) to improve data management awareness and maturity throughout the Rabobank enterprise.
  • Responsible for implementation of new data acts / regulations (including change & adherence),
  • Help the team in developing a data management vision and strategy based on developing technologies like i.e. AI.

  • Drive results: in 2022 we laid out a 5-year masterplan to focus and drive our data management ambitions. You help deliver these results, but also look for continuous improvement on further desired achievements,
  • Simple, Responsible, Customer Focus: this is in your DNA. You break down complex topics, you take on responsibility and you listen, cooperate and act together with our customers.

The (sub-) Chapter Global Data Management is one of 4 sub-chapters in the Chapter Data & Analytics. The others 3 are: Data Protection, Global AI and D&A Academy and Development Centre. The Chapter Data & Analytics sets the direction for the data driven enterprise.

You and your Talent

  • You are an experienced data management professional with more than 5 years of proven working experience,
  • You have a proven track record of more than 5 years at a large financial organization(s),
  • Change is in your DNA. Banks are heavily regulated. You understand and are experienced in driving change and results within this environment,
  • Academic working, thinking and structured in everything that you do,
  • Knowledge of DAMA DMBoK, and specifically proven experience with metadata management topics (e.g. Data Lineage, Data Definitions, Reference Data).
  • Able to inspire, motivate and coach in Dutch and English,
  • Demonstrable experience in working in complex banking environments, speak the language of various stakeholders and inspire them to play their responsible part.

This is what we offer

  • A contract for 36-hours in Scale 11 with a minimum salary of €6.155 and maximum €8.739 gross a month.
  • An Employee Benefit Budget (11 % of your monthly salary). You decide how to spend this budget. This may include purchasing extra leave days, making extra pension contributions or even receiving a monthly cash pay-out.
  • Thirteenth month's salary and 8% holiday allowance.
  •  personal development budget of €1400.
  • A pension scheme to which you contribute 3,5% or 5,5%.
  • Hybrid working: we work 1 or 2 days a week from the office.
