During the Young Engineering Professional Program (also known as YEPP) at Rabobank you work on your career one day a week by following a technical track, or you work on your personal development. You develop talents you didn’t know you had and we are given the space to discover for yourself what you are good at and what you like. And then? Everything you learn in the training courses can immediately be put into practice, because the other 4 days you work in your starter position as a Devops Engineer in the Area Conversational Banking Under the guidance of experienced colleagues, you will become a specialist in your field in no time. In addition, in the program you will work together with the team on 2 business challenges on themes such as sustainable agriculture or the cooperative energy transition. 

Our platform handles an enormous and increasing number of e-mails, documents, and other content to help various departments automatically process this content. Our code provides value by automating manual, time consuming and time critical processes for various departments within the bank. The growing number of serviced departments and their content are handled by a small team of experienced developers. Our mission is to enable even more departments to optimize and automate their content processes.

Examples

• One of our key projects is implementing and maintaining an application that handles thousands of emails per day automatically based on their content.
• Our department is working on an application that automatically extracts information of a receipt for a customer’s declaration process.

Your development

To become the specialist in your professional field, in the Young Engineering Professional Program 1 day a week you mainly attend training courses that that support your talent development. The courses are often given by experienced colleagues or trainers with a track record. You build your network, gain valuable experience and develop skills which will be of use to you later in your career.

You and your talent

• A bachelor’s or master’s degree, or an equivalent working / thinking level
• Affinity with software development
• Excellent proficiency in English
• Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills. 
• Good understanding of Object-Oriented Programming and Design.
• Competence in .NET backend development with C#.
• Practitioner of SOLID principles.

This is a selection of the terms of employment for a Devops Engineer based on a 40-hour working week.
