You and your future
During the Young Engineering Professional Program (also known as YEPP) at Rabobank you work on your career one day a week by following a technical track, or you work on your personal development. You develop talents you didn’t know you had and we are given the space to discover for yourself what you are good at and what you like. And then? Everything you learn in the training courses can immediately be put into practice, because the other 4 days you work in your starter position as a Junior Python Developer. Under the guidance of experienced colleagues, you will become a specialist in your field in no time. In addition, in the program you will work together with the team on 2 business challenges on themes such as sustainable agriculture or the cooperative energy transition. 

As a Junior Python Developer you will be working in an agile team of developers, Ops engineers, business analysts and credit risk modellers, helping to analyse and build risk models that help Rabobank to comply with regulatory requirements.

Examples

• Our department Model Management-IT is responsible for implementing and maintaining IT applications and financial models mainly for risk management.
• One of your key objectives is to deliver timely and correct risk assessments that meet dynamic and challenging regulatory and internal demands.

• Hours per week: 40

Your development

To become the specialist in your professional field, in the Young Engineering Professional Program 1 day a week you mainly attend training courses that that support your talent development. The courses are often given by experienced colleagues or trainers with a track record. You build your network, gain valuable experience and develop skills which will be of use to you later in your career.

You and your talent

• A bachelor or master degree, or an equivalent working / thinking level
• 0 – 2 years of overall work experience.
• Affinity with Python software development.
• Familiarity with or willingness to learn about T-SQL and C#, Azure cloud technologies, Flask, REDIS, Celery, Docker and Pytest
• Experience working on Python projects that have been deployed to production or a portfolio of personal projects on GitHub.

This is a selection of the terms of employment for a Junior Python Developer based on a 40-hour working week.
