As a Domain Manager tech4HR You will bring our approach to IT to the next level enabling our business strategy of excellent customer focus, meaningful cooperative, rock-solid bank and empowered employees by transforming the way Rabobank works and helping realise their ambitions.

You and your job

The TDM for CHRO forms the bridge between a hand full of tribes, such as Tech4Engineering, tribe D&A (in and outside CHRO) and a wide variety of resources and systems.

The TDM sits within the CITO leadership as well as the tribe leadership teams and ensures proper priority setting for his accountable milestones and processes (for instance decommissioning, security and risk). The TDM is the pivotal escalation point for priority conflicts, resource shortcoming and emergency operational incidents.

The TDM reports to the CTO E&E Tech. The key relation ships are with (regional) IT teams, tribe leadership team, global management team IT. The TDM is member of the tribe leadership team, RMC IT and chairs the crisis management team (CMT) . The TDM manages a budget

of 115 M and holds 300+ FTE, leadership for 3 Senior IT Leads and additional 3 FTE direct reports.

Main Responsibilities

  • Strategic vision for Tech4HR with a horizon of 3+ years, and corresponding execution skills;
  • Senior/Executive management skills in a complex context (international context, Rabobank critical, inter Tribe dependencies)
  • Develop staff capabilities and skills to ensure that they remain relevant and professional in product development within the tribes. Also responsible for Engagement and Agile maturity.
  • Accountable for legacy decommissioning and cloud migration. Responsible for related WIN target.
  • Drive standardization within the tribes. Ensure Global use of standard products. Represent voice of the customer for all regions
  • Accountable for all IT risks and ensure operational excellence and security focus to maximize availability of services and to protect applications and data. Process
  • accountable for incident, change, vulnerability and BCM.
  • Accountable for strategic IT vendors. Responsible for financial forecast (both direct costs and indirect charging). Responsible for yearly budget process.

  • (international) work experience, in financial sector and expertise in Agile working is a prerequisite;
  • demonstrated knowledge and strong understanding of relevant technology, product life cycles, clients’ needs, markets and regulatory trends & changes, understanding of model governance;
  • knowledge of regulations and impact on processes, systems, resources;
  • excellent people manager, actively developing craftmanship and building high performing teams;
  • excellent stakeholder management skills and the ability to communicate clearly and concisely towards both executive management and committees, as well as externally with f.e. regulators;
  • acts open to challenges and challenges others to achieve better results;
  • excellent communication skills. Fluent English and Dutch language capability (both verbally and in writing);
  • senior manager experience in IT, familiar with In Control;
  • academic qualification preferably in a relevant field and at least 15 years’ experience, specifically with relevant part on the above indicated additional (knowledge) requirements.


This is what we offer you

  • This position is SKB-level.
  • A yearly salary including all benefits of € 210.000,00
  • Thirteenth month's salary and 8% holiday allowance
  • an extra budget of 17% of your gross salary to be used at your discretion. Buy extra holiday hours, add more to your pension savings or ask for part of the extra budget to be paid out.
  • a budget of € 750- to set up your home working space and a monthly home working allowance of up to € 40-

The new Foundation4Tech domain is part of the Engineering & Enterprise Tech division and has been established in order to maintain and ensure operations of the core IT infrastructure and connectivity of the bank guided by operational excellence. As Tech Domain Manager Foundation4Tech, you are hierarchical direct manager of 6-8 (Senior) Tech Leads and around 275+ indirect FTE, with a primary impact on € 100 mio+ budget. With your leadership qualities and seniority in transformations, you bring this domain to a higher level and help Rabobank in their journey.
