You and your job

As Senior Tech Lead you have a strategic and leading role in Tech4FEC’s real-time detection areas:

Sanctions Detection: responsible for sanctions global transaction filtering and name screening, including activities related to the Global Name Screening project as well as model development for Transaction Filtering and Name Screening. External Fraud Detection: responsible for protecting customers and Rabobank in real-time against payments fraud as well as for External Fraud Case management and Investigations.

You will work in a challenging, international environment, managing 5 Tech Leads with ~160 (in)direct report across 16 squads while ensuring strong partnerships with our vendors and sourcing partners. As part of the leadership team you keep the Sanctions Detection and External Fraud Detection areas on track, in control and engaged. Additionally, you use your stakeholder management skills to ensure alignment with our colleagues across the FEC business lines, within the Payments Tribes and across FEC operations. Your scope is not limited to just the Netherlands as your solutions also serve our wholesale and rural operations across the globe.

The domain Tech4FEC is responsible for automation and innovation across the FEC domain, including overall IT system support. The main focus is to lead model development and workflow tooling – including Data & Analytics product development – in support of the CDD, TM, Sanctions and External Fraud business lines. As Senior Tech Lead you will report to the Domain Manager Tech4FEC and work closely together with the area leadership teams of the real-time detection areas.

Top responsibilities

  • Accountable for qualitative IT delivery, steering on future proof solutions according to the target architecture
  • Drive standardization within the IT domain, ensure global use of standard products.
  • Accountable for all IT-risks in the areas and ensure operational and security focus to maximize availability of services and to protect applications and data. Accountable for IT incident, change, vulnerability and Business Continuity Management
  • Accountable for the predictable delivery and quality of the multiple software and Saas vendors.
  • Accountable for the sourcing with strategic IT-vendors. Responsible for financial forecast (both direct costs and indirect charging). Responsible for yearly budget process.
  • Ensuring the right priorities are given to IT related processes such as Risk, Security, Compliancy and Life Cycle Management
  • Develop staff capabilities and skills to ensure that they remain relevant and professional in product development within the tribes, mind-set to steer on improved engineering journeys and with this responsible for Engagement and Agile maturity.
  • Develop area maturity and guide expanded growth of the real-time detection areas

You and your talent

  • Seasoned professional, academic working and thinking level with 10+ years’ relevant (managerial) working experience in IT and financial services within large (financial) organization(s).
  • Communication and influencing skills at the highest level, aimed at motivating and inspiring employees managing the potentially conflicting interests of a broad stakeholder management field
  • Expert knowledge on and relevant experience with both large-scale real-time solutions and batch solutions , with Payments architecture, managing global vendors and FEC, Sanctions and Fraud.
  • Experience in implementing innovative technology solutions

This is what we offer you

  • A contract for 40-hours a week with a salary between €9.789,10 and €13.948,44 gross per month (scale SKB).
  • An Employee Benefit Budget (17% of your monthly salary). You decide how to spend this budget. This may include purchasing extra leave days, making extra pension contributions or even receiving a monthly cash pay-out.
  • A personal budget of €1400 that you can spend on activities related to your personal development and career.
  • A pension scheme to which you contribute 3,5% or 5,5%.
