The world of Investments is developing very quickly. The Area Investments Sales and Services focuses on the direct interaction with our customers. Whether it is buying an investment product (i.e. Beheerd Beleggen), changing our goals or placing a direct order to sell all bonds. The squads provide these solutions.

In your role as an IT lead, you have the unique opportunity to make a significant difference by facilitating the Area Investments Sales and Services within the Tribe Investments. You are tech responsible for the continuity, development, improvement, and delivery of client journeys for the investments products. You are accountable for the IT of 5 squads, collaborating closely with product management to further shape the ambitions of Rabobank. Your IT devops teams are an integral part of the Area Investments Sales and Services squads, focussing on excellent journeys for our clients.

You’ll shape and maintain a strategic IT roadmap, cultivate high-performing teams, and uphold IT quality across the bank, with a dedicated focus on Tribe Investments. Your mission involves ensuring IT’s continuity and fostering innovation, adapting swiftly to evolving customer needs and regulatory requirements for an exceptional customer experience. By aligning with industry trends and legislation, you’ll provide flexible, reliable solutions. Your diverse responsibilities span quality software development, continuous improvement, resource management, and talent nurturing. Collaborating closely with the Area Lead and Business Architect, you’ll execute the roadmap. Additionally, you’ll foster an engineering culture, creating a secure and motivating environment, while effectively managing our IT systems, resources, suppliers, and budget.

Playing a critical part in optimizing team performance by removing obstacles and guiding them toward high-performance excellence. Cultivating an inspiring engineering culture and fostering a great workplace are essential. Our globally distributed engineers, working flexibly from home, office, onsite in Utrecht, and nearshore in India, form the foundation of our success. Ensuring they consistently deliver their best work is paramount.

  • Managing the IT delivery in a complex environment. Challenge the status quo, experiment and improve;
  • Guarding the integral IT approach and connecting with other IT projects within and outside the tribe;
  • Leading in technology in run (including vendor management), change, and innovation;
  • Managing budgets and actuals, increasing software development and maintenance efficiency;
  • Adhering to IT frameworks like security standards, life cycle management, and availability demands;
  • Continuously improving the IT staff's practices in the team;
  • Hiring, developing, and training the IT staff to enhance the squad's productivity and their own skills;

You and your talent

  • Complex Problem-Solving and Decision-Making: Demonstrated ability to navigate high-impact changes within a complex IT landscape, utilizing excellent judgment and decision-making skills.
  • Leadership and Management Proficiency: Strong management, coaching, and negotiation abilities to lead and integrate people, processes, technology, and resources towards achieving unified goals across various domains.
  • IT Experience: Between 5 - 10 years of experience in the IT sector, with a comprehensive understanding of diverse IT competencies.
  • Agile and Team Development: Proven experience in Agile methodologies and coaching high-performing teams, emphasizing continuous improvement and agility.
  • Innovation and Market Awareness: Keen awareness of customer and market trends, digitalization, robotics, and high-tech developments, with the ability to adapt and innovate.
  • Technical Expertise: Solid knowledge and experience with front-end, services, back-end architectures, and cloud technologies, ensuring a well-rounded technical leadership.
  • Offshore Management: Experience in managing offshore and nearshore development projects, showcasing global teamwork and collaboration skills.
  • Initiative and Inspirational Leadership: A self-starter with a challenger mindset and the ability to inspire and develop high-performing teams, fostering an environment of mutual growth and achievement.

This is what we offer you

  • A gross monthly salary between € 5.115 and € 8.793 (based on 36 hours per week (40 hours possible), scale 10 or 11 based on your knowledge and experience).
  • 13th month and 8% holiday allowance: the holiday allowance and annual allowance will usually be paid out in 12 equal monthly instalments. Employees have the option once a year to opt for the holiday allowance to be paid out in May and the annual allowance in December.
  • An Employee Benefit Budget (11% of your monthly salary). You decide how to spend this budget. This may include purchasing extra leave days, making extra pension contributions, or even receiving a monthly cash pay-out.
  • An annual personal development/training budget of € 1.400,-
  • 100% reimbursement of commuting costs if you travel by public transport! Do you still prefer to travel by car or motorbike? Then choose a commuting allowance.
  • A monthly € 40,- net work from home allowance, based on working from home 5 days per week.
  • A monthly € 40,- net internet allowance.
  • Attractive pension fund with a personal contribution of only 5.5%. Rabobank will contribute 21.5%.
