As the business architect Data Foundation DRB & Group you make an impact on the enablement of Risk & Finance processes by managing the data architecture for the distribution of trusted data of retail payments & savings, Rabobank subsidiaries, and group-wide concepts.

Key responsibilities

• Be part of the Tribe Data Foundation architecture board to guide and govern the tribe-wide target architecture.
• Together with the Area Lead and Tech IT Lead you are managing and running the Area Payments, Savings, and Ancillary services. For this area, you have the role of area architect.
• Together with the Area Lead and Tech IT Lead you are managing and running the Area Group and subsidiaries. For this area, you have the role of area architect.
• Developing the architecture and roadmap for your areas within the tribe Data Foundation and steering the realization.
• Functional managing, mentoring, and coaching solution architects within the functional line of your areas within the tribe Data Foundation.
• Stakeholder management within the Tribe Data Foundation as well as architects and leadership of other relevant tribes.
• Keeping up to date with functional and technical developments and maintaining a strong network in the market (vendors, competitors, fintechs, big techs, research and consultancy firms).

The more than 60 people in the architecture department are responsible for the development, maintenance, and enforcement of the IT strategy and architecture of Rabobank, to realize an effective long-term direction for IT in support of the bank’s strategy – in commercial, efficiency, and risk perspective. The architecture team of Data Foundation is part of the architecture team of Risk & Finance and shapes the Data architecture for Risk & Finance. The Managing Business Architect Data Foundation leads the team. With you included the architecture team of Data Foundation consists of 4 business architects. The entire team is heavily relying on the knowledge and capacity of a group of solution architects, for which you are functionally responsible. Your Rabobank Tech Chapter counterpart is HR responsible for the solution architects.

You and your talent

• 3-7 years of architectural experience in a large and complex data environment
• Experience with financial institutions and relevant products and (regulatory) obligations
• Experience in the field of data architecture,  data logistics, data architectures, and data patterns
• Experience with (functional) management of technology-oriented team members
• Master’s degree in a relevant field
• Affinity with data vault modeling and concepts of data management at scale

Besides that we offer, based on a 36 hr working week:

• Gross salary up to approximately € 100.000 per year (scale 11), based on your experience and skills
• Holiday pay (8%) and 13th month
• Employee benefit budget (11% of monthly salary). You can spend this budget according to your priorities, e.g. by buying additional days off, supplementing your pension, or having it paid out.
• A pension facility in which you can choose only to contribute 3.5% or 5,5% yourself. Rabobank contributes 21,5% of your pension base.
