You and your job

We are looking for senior software engineers for the agile DevOps teams within the department of Credit Analytics. More specifically we are looking for someone who can work independently, who will lead by example and can mentor more junior engineers in and outside the team. You are part of the backbone of the team and a strong support for the solution architect.

Together with the team, we collaborate to design and build a robust, secure cloud environment in Azure. Therefore, it is essential to be familiar with cloud concepts and the development standards required to effectively utilize the cloud.

Responsibilities include designing and developing robust and maintainable systems that enable Rabobank to calculate its credit risk. Challenges presented by the cloud, such as security, resilience, and scaling, are addressed.

Remaining abreast of the latest market and technological developments and incorporating them into the execution of development work is crucial. Emphasis is placed on quality practices such as TDD, with guidance provided to ensure their application.

You and your talent

Customer focus, agile knowledge, collaboration skills are clearly essential for the role of Software Engineer. In addition, it is important that you recognize everything in the checklist below: 

  • Completion of Bachelor's or Master's education.
  • Possession of a minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience as a Python Engineer.
  • Proficiency in Python expertise, coupled with adeptness in C# utilization.

It is important that you have experience with:

  • Proficiency in Azure (release) pipelines.
  • Familiarity with Azure cloud concepts such as AKS, ADLS, ACR, ADF, Docker, ARM, and AZ CLI.
  • Competence in Docker and YAML.
  • Application of basic coding principles like DRY, SOLID, inheritance, and clean code.
  • Proficiency in Git.
  • Knowledge of SPECFLOW.
  • Experience with TDD.
  • Possessing a flexible and constructively critical attitude, along with a strong analytical mindset and result-oriented approach.
  • Experience in an agile environment, including familiarity with DevOps, SCRUM, and LEAN methodologies.
  • Affinity and experience (nice to have) with model development.
  • Capability to explain features at both beginner and advanced levels and engage in discussions with peers.
  • Ability to collaborate with team members (not exclusively developers) to enhance product delivery.
  • Steering towards improvement with Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery.
  • Comfortable discussing technical enhancements with product owners and ensuring their integration into sprints.
  • Experience in setting up test cases for features under development (TDD).

This is what we offer you

  • a gross monthly salary between € 4.292,- and € 6.130,- (scale 9, 36 hours per week).
  • 13th month and holiday pay: the holiday allowance and annual allowance will usually be paid out in 12 equal monthly instalments. Employees have the option once a year to opt for the holiday allowance to be paid out in May and the annual allowance in December.
  • an Employee Benefit Budget (11% of your monthly salary). You decide how to spend this budget. This may include purchasing extra leave days, making extra pension contributions, or even receiving a monthly cash pay-out.
  • an annual personal development/training budget of € 1.400,-
  • 100% reimbursement of commuting costs if you travel by public transport! Do you still prefer to travel by car or motorbike? Then choose a commuting allowance.
  • a monthly € 40,- net work from home allowance, based on working from home 5 days per week.
  • a monthly € 40,- net internet allowance.
  • Attractive pension fund with a personal contribution of only 5.5%. Rabobank will contribute 21.5%.
