Junior SSA & FI Originator - Markets

Imagine… working in Rabobank’s dealing room and learn everything about fixed income markets and strengthen our debt issuance platform for Financial Institutions (FI) and Sovereigns, Supranationals, Agencies (SSA) clients.

As junior originator, you can make the difference by managing and developing our core systems and enhance our service to clients, while being fully involved in both deal origination and deal execution within our teams.

Making a difference 

• Learning the ins and outs of the Fixed Income Market, becoming a PowerPoint and Excel hero and master the usage of a Bloomberg terminal
• Actively supporting two bond origination desks: FI (banks and insurers) and SSA (Supranationals, Sovereigns and agencies)
• Management and development of core systems for both desks, including market monitors and pricing models
• Keeping abreast of relevant news and market developments, especially macroeconomic news, and establishing knowledge of the target client base and relevant market dynamics.
• Transaction execution of client deals: support due diligence, documentation, investor presentation, negotiation etc. and liaise with relevant counterparts at the client/advisers (accounting, legal, etc.), completion of compliance procedures during transactions, filing of legal documentation, etc.
• Working closely together with various Rabobank departments, including the Financial Institutions Group, treasury department, bond and swap trading, syndicate, sales, risk management and legal and compliance in order to further develop the business and execute transactions
• Provide continuously updated desk materials to assist in client advice and execution – key event calendars, etc.
• Assist in production of internal marketing materials, tombstones, writing papers for internal business plans and development, etc.

Of course you are self-starting, independent, confident, entrepreneurial and an excellent communicator. It's exactly these characteristics that make you a good junior originator, particularly in combination with:

• Keen interest in financial markets
• Master degree in econometrics/economics/finance or quantitative study
• Skillsets for data insights and digital literacy
• Handy with PowerPoint, Excel
• Fluent in written and spoken English, German language skills are an advantage
