Our Risk Management team brings talented people together to continuously improve the efficiency and effectiveness of her IT projects. In your role as Business Analyst you will have your home within, but will very actively work with the Business Requirements and Delivery teams and other internal and external stakeholders.

With you as a Business Analyst, the scrum team will consist of 8 to 12 colleagues in a variety of roles, including other BAs, software engineers, Product owner and Scrum Master. The Business Analyst will assume a BA role in the Credit Risk domain and will be involved in multiple initiatives. The successful candidate has extensive knowledge and experience in this domain.

The Business Analyst in the IT Chapter acts as an intermediary between the business and the Simplify@Scale Tribe/Area/Squad community, working with IT teams and business clients to collect, clarify, and document business requirements (using appropriate tools and models) from which systems and solutions are developed. The Business Analyst is an active partner and systems visionary who shapes business demand for technology.

Your analyses and designs ensure flawless IT fulfilment of the Risk & Finance business initiatives and requirements. As Business Analyst you can make a difference by giving the right directions for development and continuous improvement of credit risk management IT applications.

  • Understand complex business problems, identify business/functional user requirements, and recommend how best to support them through processes and systems.
  • Translate business requirements and issues into designs and specifications that are in line with the chosen business and IT architecture framework.
  • You play a key central role in monitoring the quality of work delivered by the Business Analysts in the development teams throughout the lifecycle of the projects.

You would be working in Credit Core which is positioned within the Risk & Finance Tech domain, responsible for Rabobank’s backbone IT systems for the Risk and Finance business functions. The Credit Core domain is responsible for the run and change processes for our applications which support our core process in which financial products are classified, managed, reported and handled.

  • You are a sparring partner for business management, architects, development teams, product owners and other stakeholders.
  • Help Area Lead/Product Owner with requirements analysis/process engineering with the aim of delivering consistent and efficient business solutions and processes.
  • Leverage a broad set of disciplines - including strategic planning, stakeholder management, facilitation, and change management and communications to define the target future state, and drive transformational improvement aligned to the Simplify@Scale operating model
    Develop documentation for stakeholders to facilitate the sharing of outcomes and best practices within Simplify@Scale operating model.
  • Identify business pain points or disconnections and translate them into improvement opportunities, such as cost savings/avoidance, productivity gains, quality improvements or revenue generation.
  • Partners with business and technology partners to elicit, analyse, translate, and document business requirements into technical requirements.
  • Liaise with Squad members to ensure their clear understanding and subsequent delivery of these development requirements.
  • Ensure all aspects of the system lifecycle (i.e. analysis, testing, documentation, support, etc.) are properly managed in accordance with Rabobank standards/policies, and that all approved tasks are completed on time.


Required:

  • At least 5+ years of experience in system design, development, testing and/or project implementation & planning.
  • Sound awareness of market/industry/functional/technical knowledge and developments of Wholesale, Financial, Retail systems.
  • Experience with business analysis methodologies and applicable IT architectures.
  • Experience in agile environment, experience with DevOps, SCRUM and SAFe.
  • Experience with Audit, Compliance and Operational Risk processes and general IT risks and controls.

Qualifications:

  • Higher School Certificate or equivalent is essential.
  • Preliminary Agile certifications.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in banking and/or financial services IT.

Skills:

  • Interpersonal Skills - Liaise & network with all levels of Rabobank staff. Liaise & network with 3rd parties (e.g. suppliers) as necessary. Mediate between end-users and IT staff. Provide technical guidance/advice/support to colleagues. Ability to influence and motivate as appropriate.
  • Customer Focus - Emphasis is on supplying the users’ business system needs. Engaging the customer in dialogue. Detecting and listing customers’ wishes and needs. Responding and anticipating to this, putting customer interest first. Thinking and acting from the customer’s perspective. Staying focused on creating added value for the customer (customer value) and improving the service provision.
  • Soft Skills Set - Organisational skills, initiative, self-motivation and a strong customer focus are essential. A strong desire for personal improvement is essential. Excellent oral & written communication skills are essential.

  • Intellectual curiosity and the ability to question business partners across functional areas.

This is what we offer you

  • all-in annual earnings up to €100.000 (scale 10, 40 hours per week).
  • 13th month and holiday pay: the holiday allowance and annual allowance will usually be paid out in 12 equal monthly instalments. Employees have the option once a year to opt for the holiday allowance to be paid out in May and the annual allowance in December.
