We are looking for an Azure Team Lead for project Acorn. A project that has it all:

You and your job
The Acorn platform is a dynamic and innovative platform that has been at the forefront of developing custom .NET services to enhance the capabilities of our Dynamics 365 tenant. We are committed to delivering cutting-edge solutions hosted on the Azure Cloud platform, utilizing the latest Azure products. Over the last two years we have built a platform to support the business activities of the Acorn project within Rabobank. The platform serves as the technical backbone to support processes from onboarding Smallholder Farmers into the Acorn program to monitoring biomass growth using state-of-the-art Remote Sensing technologies.

As we continue to grow, we are seeking a skilled and experienced Team Lead to manage our API components hosted on Azure. As a Team Lead, your role is threefold:

• Your Sr developer skills allow you to guide and advise the 3-4 offshore developers in your team
• You act as a Product Owner in the IT team; Together with the other 2 PO’s and the Tech Lead, you design, plan and execute the backlog items per quarter.
• You develop the technically most challenging stuff yourself.

Practical Examples

• Deploy, Manage and optimize Azure resources, including API management, Azure Frontdoor, CosmosDB, AzureSQL, and the Azure Container Apps environment.
• Oversee the implementation of microservices architecture, ensuring scalability, reliability, and performance.
• Work closely with offshore teams to coordinate project activities and ensure alignment with project timelines and objectives.

• 40 hours per week 
• You will join the existing Platform (/IT) team that consists of a Business Analyst, a Tech Lead, 2 other PO’s and 3 support employees. For the required developer capacity of ~20 FTE across the three teams (Azure, Dynamics and the custom built Data Collection app), we only work with the best consulting / integration partners.

Top responsibilities

• Lead a team of developers responsible for the development, deployment, and maintenance of custom .NET services within the Azure Cloud environment. 
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements, translate these business requirements into Backlog items, and ensure the successful integration of Dynamics 365 services.
• Implement best practices for code reviews, continuous integration, and deployment using Terraform and Azure Pipelines.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to the Azure environment, providing technical expertise to the team.

The 60 people in the Acorn team aim to support millions of smallholder farmers in developing countries by helping them transition to agroforestry. Participating farmers are onboarded on the Acorn platform from where we measure and market carbon sequestration on their behalf. You and your talent

• Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• Proven experience in .NET development and deployment of microservices.
• Experience working with Dynamics 365 and integrating custom solutions.
• Experience in managing offshore development teams.
•  Proficiency in utilizing Azure resources, including API management, Azure Frontdoor, CosmosDB, AzureSQL, and Azure Container Apps environment.
• Hands-on experience with Terraform and Azure Pipelines for infrastructure as code and continuous integration/delivery.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• 4 -6 years of working experience
• Can do mentality – you see a challenge in any problem that you are confronted with. You have an intrinsic drive to want to help out the team members that reach out to you.
• An organized way of working, ability to keep track of open items, follow up and chase
• Strong ability to learn and develop new skills, in case of limited experience in one of the above, there is at a strong willingness to learn
• Fluent in both Dutch and English, both spoken and written.

• You will be replacing an employee that is moving to a new role. There will be a one month period of knowledge transfer.

This is what we offer you

• Up to €95.000,00 gross per year, based on a 40 hour work week. This includes a thirteenth month's salary, 8% holiday allowance and an extra budget of 10% of your gross salary to be used at your discretion. Buy extra holiday hours, add more to your pension savings or ask for part of the extra budget to be paid out.
• The possibility to order working from home facilities (desk, chair and screen) and a monthly home working allowance of up to € 40
• 100% reimbursement of commuting costs if you travel by public transport
