Financial Crime Compliance Officer Second Line Monitoring
Contribute to the number one priority of the bank: Financial Economic Crime, by conducting Risk-Based and Data-Driven Second Line Monitoring assessments.
You and your job
Investigate the effectiveness of the bank’s risk management with regard to money laundering, breach of sanctions, corruption and terrorist financing and compliance with applicable regulation. As an FCC Officer SLM within the Financial Crime Compliance department, you are responsible for testing the effectiveness of the controls, both in design and operating, that are in place to mitigate these risks.
Practical Examples
Together with data experts, develop a data set from the whole client portfolio as a basis for risk-based monitoring assessments;
Conduct interviews with management and staff to gain insight in the design and operating effectiveness of controls that are in place;
Investigate complex client files to provide an independent opinion about the quality of risk mitigation.

Top 3 responsibilities
Prepare the scope and approach of the assessments by gaining insight in the risk profile, nature and developments of the research object (e.g. department, process or system);
Perform independent research and testing activities (monitoring) to determine the effectiveness of risk management with regard to FEC risks;
Report timely, accurately and concise about findings from these activities and challenge the responsible management in identifying root causes and determining remedial actions.

The 21 people in Financial Crime Compliance SLM provide objective and independent reports on the effectiveness of risk management on the FEC topic. You and your talent
University degree or comparable level of work / experience required;
Knowledge or experience with FEC topics in general is an asset. In addition, expertise with regard to sanctions is a plus;
Experience with control monitoring and knowledge of audit principles and monitoring techniques is an asset;
Excellent Dutch and English communication skills both verbally and in writing;
You are a result-driven and analytical professional who wants to make impact;
You are a strong sparring partner for the bank’s AML and Sanctions Officers and the business;
You enjoy working in a diverse team in a challenging environment.
This is what we offer you
Up to € 5.811,03 gross per month (scale 8 or scale 9 depending on knowledge and experience);
Thirteenth month and 8% holiday pay;
