Design Strategist

At Rabobank we help global companies and agricultural clients grow and stay financially healthy. We are working on new platforms and journeys to revolutionize the way we will be supporting businesses in the future. We are looking for a seasoned Design Strategist who can help us shape the vision for business banking through Customer Journeys.   

You and your job

As a Design Strategist within Wholesale & Rural domain, you will be working on the digital transformation of our banking process for our big international clients (Wholesale) and optimizing the digital services for our Rural clients worldwide (think about mobile solutions for our big farmers in Brazil).The designers in the global Wholesale and Rural Design Team are pioneering in an international environment to create delightful experiences for our clients worldwide and our global bankers internally.

• Drive the strategic direction for journeys within the complex world of our business clients.

• You understand the needs and expectations of our international clients and are excited about the creation of design concepts for complex financial workflows.

• You are comfortable in to drive a complex and fuzzy assignment home.

Your role   
As a Design Strategist, your main task will be to conceptualize, design and improve journeys for our business platforms. You will join a multi-disciplinary team of designers responsible for the end-to-end experience of business customers and bank employees. This is a complex space, and we have very ambitious plans, so get ready for the challenge! 

Your talent  

We are looking for a talented Design Strategist who can use creativity, problem-solving and communication skills to handle the complex context of a bank.  

• You have 10+ years of experience in Design and confidently take responsibility and ownership of design projects and are familiar will all facets of the design process.

• You have experience with service design and are comfortable mapping a customer journey and leading a development team along this exercise.

• You see the challenge in working with complex user interfaces and you are both a structured strategic thinker and a creator of pixel-perfect designs. 

• You are comfortable taking the lead in complex projects, that span multiple teams and stakeholders and are able to manage these different perspectives and interests.  

• You are an awesome designer with eye for detail, but also know that great design itself isn’t enough and you are able to translate your designs into impactful solutions for our users.

• You have a passion for business user and are motivated to understand their daily work and the complex financial workflows they are dealing with.

• You have experience working in a large organisation and knows what it takes to get a foot in the door and land your design projects.

• You are a passionate storyteller and knows how to tell the story behind the design.  

• You can communicate professionally in English. Knowledge of the Dutch language is a plus.

This is what we offer you    

• A salary between € 4.718,88  - € 6.741,24 gross per month (scale 10)
