Business Intelligence (BI) Consultant

You shape the activities necessary to create crucial insights that contribute to decision-making up to the highest level of the bank. With state-of-the-art tooling, we enable other internal departments of the bank to conduct data analyses, derive insights and make data-driven decision on a tactical and strategical level. To take the next step in this regard, a scalable way of Business Intelligence (BI) is needed and therefore the focus of this role is on implementing the vision Self-Service Business Intelligence (SSBI) throughout the bank.

You and your job

As part of the Self-Service BI team, you are tasked with further implementing Self-Service BI within the bank. Together with the team, you move the various parts of the bank that play an essential role in this. This includes providing direction to various existing initiatives, but also developing new initiatives in the areas of learning, governance, support and data products that should make this possible. You do this as part of the Data & Analytics Tribe together with colleagues throughout the bank who play a role in the field of BI. Achieving an ecosystem that nurtures Self-Service BI is the ultimate goal we strive for.

That is why we expect you to join forces with your team to structure all preconditions to take Self-Service BI to the next level and achieve broad support within the organization.

Top 3 responsibilities

• Promoting the Self-Service BI vision to partners and other stakeholders throughout the bank and being able to establish connections based on shared interests
• Implementing the blueprint around Self-Service BI where you can both overview the entire concept of Self-Service BI and zoom in on specific parts to elaborate them in detail
• Suggest innovative ideas and strategies to promote data-driven culture and drive scalable BI initiatives

You will be part of a very dynamic and international team including highly motivated team members. The ~90 people from Area Business Intelligence are positioned to make the bank increasingly data-driven through the delivering of solid insights as well as implementing self-service BI solutions. You and your talent

• HBO- or WO-equivalent education
• You have experience with Business Intelligence
• Experience with implementing Self-Service Business Intelligence in a larger organization is a plus
• You feel comfortable in a continuous changing environment and you are able to guide people in a changing organization
• You have good networking and communication skills. You know how to connect the right people.
• You are analytically strong; you see connections between various ongoing initiatives
• You are results-driven and solution-oriented

This is what we offer you

• A 36-hour workweek with a salary between € 3.518,06 and € 5.024,15 gross per month (scale 8)
• An extra budget of 10% of your gross salary to be used at your discretion. Buy extra holiday hours, add more to your pension savings or ask for part of the extra budget to be paid out
• Thirteenth month's salary and 8% holiday allowance
• An OV-business card or fixed monthly travel allowance
• Hybrid working: we work 1 or 2 days a week from the office
• A personal development budget of €1400
