Advanced Analytics Young Professional Program

Start date of the Advanced Analytics Young Professional Program is April 1st, 2024.    

   

You and your future    

During the Advanced Analytics Young Professional Program you are going to develop your career over 18 months by becoming an expert in your field. Throughout the program you will stay in one team and receive training to further develop your hard skills. You will get a buddy who guides you in finding your way within the bank. In the field of your personal development, you and your fellow starters follow the Pioneer Program and you will receive 1-on-1 coaching from your talent manager. We prepare you for your own personal success!

This program and journey are literally and figuratively a dive into unknown waters . So , w hen do you know in which team you will start? Several weeks before the start of the program there is a Meet & Greet at Rabobank. On that day you get the opportunity to meet all the different participating teams you could end up in . You then have another 2 weeks to drink coffees and get to know the most interesting ones for you . Eventually we ask for preferences on both sides and last ly an algorithm brings these insights together.   

   

What can I expect at the end of the program?

  • Built up a strong network of like-minded professionals within the bank.    

  • A steep learning curve in terms of soft skills.    

  • After 18 months you can continue to work in your team or choose to apply for a different position within the bank.    

   

In this program, you will be in charge of your career and your own learning curve. R abobank helps you on your way and supports you to grow by motivating you to step out of your comfort zone.  
 

Projects    

  • Be part of a team that is involved in tracing sanctioned transactions, part of the Financial Economic Crime department. You analyse the detection model and meanwhile develop a new innovative model. The improvements you make to the models are immediately applied to screen millions of transactions for sanctions violations.  T he impact you make is therefore very direct.    

  • As an Advanced A nalytic Y oung P rofessional , you can be involved in sustainability projects. In the Data Science department, we create models to investigate how sustainable our clients and their houses are, by detecting how much they consume in energy, if they have solar panels, etc. With these insights, we as a bank can point our clients in the right direction to transition. The results of these will appear in the Rabobank's app and help our clients become greener.  

  • Treasury Modelling mainly focusses on building statistical models for capturing and forecasting financial risks for the biggest assets and liabilities on the bank’s balance sheet. Some examples are a prepayment model for mortgages, a volume model for deposits, and a capital model. The models are used for steering the bank and help in managing Rabobank’s assets and liabilities. Next to the modelling work, you will also be challenged to translate the complex models to the business in an understandable way. The work in the team offers a unique combination of mathematical modelling, data analysis, programming, and asset-liability management (ALM).

   

Practical    

  • The duration of the program: 18 months.    

  • The start date: April 1, 2024.    

  • 40 Hours workweek . About 10-15% of your weekly working time is spent on personal development, training and other activities. The other hours are spent working within your team.    

  • Every Friday afternoon is A dvanced Analytics Professional Afternoon at the office!

You and your talent     

  • At the start of the program, y ou` ve obtained a master's degree or a doctorate in Econometrics, Mathematics, Physics, Data Science , Industrial Engineering or another STEM background.    

  • Approximately 0-2 years of work experience .  

  • Currently living in the Netherlands .  

  • Interest in quantitative analysis and programming .  

  • K nowledge of Matlab, Python or SQL .  

  • An excellent command of the English language .  

   

This is what we offer you     

  • A salary of € 3.785,60 gross per month (scale 7) .  

  • A 13th month's salary and vacation pay .  

  • An Employee Benefit Budget (10% of your monthly salary). Employees may use this budget at their own discretion, for example, the EBB can be used to buy extra vacation days or to make an additional deposit in your retirement fund. Employees can also opt to have the EBB paid out to them as part of their monthly salary .    

  • A personal budget that you can spend on activities related to your personal development and career .  

  • A combination of working from home and from the office.
