Cloud Engineer Azure

You can participate in shaping the future of our global Cloud transformation by enabling the transition from our own data centers to the public Cloud within Rabobank! As a Cloud Engineer, you make a difference and real impact by driving adoption of Cloud Native Application Designs within Rabobank. You do this with your colleagues in the Engineering Platforms team by working together with all the Rabobank DevOps teams that rely on the Engineering Platform services. By doing so we are able to bring our services to our customers in a faster, more reliable and secure way. 

You and your job
Rabobank is in the process of transforming into a modern software development organisation, using the scale and innovation benefits offered by public Cloud services like Azure Cloud. This transition requires knowledge, an open attitude and cultural change within the organisation.

As a Cloud Engineer within Engineering Platforms, you can help to bring about this change by:

• Development, management and maintenance of the Azure Platform for Rabobank.    
• Building reusable Cloud components at scale, designing solutions and making a real difference at Rabobank by contributing to the long-term goals of Engineering Platforms.
• Undertaking diverse responsibilities and initiatives, full autonomy is key, where you also bring a lot of fun.
• Growing your knowledge on the complete Azure Cloud technology stack (network, security, functions, containers, data, etc.).
• Alongside working with the Azure Portal, you also drive automation by utilizing CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure as Code.
• Helping DevOps teams in their journey to the Cloud.
• Standby shift that will rotate within the team.

This team is in the lead of our global Cloud Transformation. One of the goals of this team is to double the speed of development. They do this by staying focused and always being ahead of the facts, knowledge and changes in Cloud Services. You and your talent

It is logical that customer orientation, enthusiasm and an unstoppable hunger for new knowledge are indispensable for this function. In addition, it is important that you recognise everything on the checklist below: 

• Minimum bachelor’s degree in a relevant direction (B ICT) 
• Substantive knowledge when it comes to Cloud technologies & Cloud design patterns
• Minimum of 2 Azure certifications (Solutions Architect and/or Azure Administrator and/or DevOps Engineer and/or Azure Security Technologies)
• Minimum of 2 years of experience with Azure development 
• Minimum of 2 years of experience with Agile Way of Working (Scrum & Kanban)
• Experience with at least one of the following programming languages: Bash and/or PowerShell
• Experience with Azure DevOps practices, Git and Yaml pipelines
• CI/CD: Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery
• Azure Resource Manager (ARM) or Azure Bicep
• Knowledge and experience of Cloud native development
• Knowledge and experience with commonly used Azure resources like Azure Virtual Machines, Function Apps, Web Apps, Logic Apps, Kubernetes (AKS, ACI, ACR), Container Apps, Service Bus, API Management, Application Insights/Log Analytics
• Knowledge and experience with Azure Networking concepts, especially Service Endpoints and Private Endpoints in relation to the Azure Services described above
• Knowledge and experience of Azure Active Directory, especially Enterprise Applications with Delegation and Consent, Managed Identities
• Knowledge and experience of Azure policies
• Good communication skills
• Good English proficiency
• Eager to keep learning new technologies

It is a plus if you also have:

• Knowledge of Azure Services that the adjacent Azure Teams in Engineering Platforms focus on: Application Gateway/FrontDoor (both with Web Application Firewall), Azure Firewall, CosmosDB, Azure Sql, Azure PostgreSQL, Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks.
   

This is what we offer you  

• A gross monthly salary of between € 3.423 and € 5.655 (function group 8 or 9 depending on work experience); This is a yearly salary of Max € 95.000,00 incl all benefits based on 40 hours. (depending on knowlegde and experience)
• Thirteenth month's salary and 8% holiday allowance 
• An extra budget of 10 or 11% of your gross monthly salary to be used at your discretion. Buy extra holiday hours, add more to your pension savings or ask for part of the extra budget to be paid out. 
• The possibility to order working from home facilities (desk, chair and screen) and a monthly home working allowance of up to € 40- 
• A personal development budget of € 1,400- 
• A combination of working from home and at the office 
• 100% reimbursement of commuting costs if you travel by public transport 
• A pension scheme to which you contribute 5.5%
