As an Analyst and a member of Rabobank’s global Project Finance team you can make a difference by delivering transactions that drive the energy transition, developing innovative financing solutions and exploring new technologies and markets. Project Finance is a complex lending product and offers analytical candidates a strong starting point for their finance career.

• contributing to internal projects related to optimising the organisation and development of the department.

Top 3 responsibilities

• You will be responsible for the due diligence, structuring and execution of (complex) Project Finance transactions throughout Europe in cooperation with your deal team.
• You will have regular contact with existing and new clients, both in The Netherlands and throughout the rest of Europe.
• You will cooperate with the other Project Finance team members and other departments within Rabobank. Furthermore you are responsible for the preparation of inter alia presentations to pitch for new transactions, credit applications, reviews, waivers and transaction documentation including associated Rabobank corporate hygiene.

Collaboration is at the heart of everything we do. Our Project Finance team brings talented people together to provide limited and non-recourse financings as well as debt advisory to the renewable energy sector. We are a team of 30 experienced individuals and part of the Global Project Finance team, consisting of approx. 100 people. We often have leading roles in transactions in on- and offshore wind, solar and more innovative sectors (e.g. batteries, sustainable heating systems, floating wind and geothermal) and are active in different countries such as the Netherlands, Belgium, Germany, Spain, the Nordics, England, Ireland, Spain, France and Italy. Transaction size ranges from EUR 35mln to a few billion EUR investments and are characterised by a high degree of complexity enabling you to use your creativity and analytical skills.

You and your talent

• A Master degree and <2yrs work experience
• Interest in sustainability and renewable energy projects is preferred;
• Basic knowledge of lending practices and modelling skills is preferred;
• Great social skills, stakeholder and ability to cooperate with different departments within the bank (because the energy transition is an important pillar for the bank);
• Enthusiastic, pro-active, takes ownership and eager to learn;
• Good analytical skills and great client focus;
• Team player;
• Fluent in English, both verbal and written, an additional foreign language would be beneficial

Young Professional Program – Corporate Banking

After joining the role as an Analyst within Project Finance there is a possibility to participate in our Young Professional Corporate Banking Program. This means that in addition to your regular work, you also follow a personal development program for 1.5 years. During this program, you will receive job-related training, personal development training, coaching sessions, and networking opportunities. You will not go through this developmental journey on your own, but together with other fellow Young Professionals.

This is what we offer you

• a gross monthly salary in job grade 7
• a thirteenth month and holiday pay
