Platform Champion (Career starting tech savvy Business Analyst)

We are looking for a Platform Champion for project Acorn. A project that has it all: 

• Purpose: We are combatting climate change in a transparent, honest and traceable manner by helping farmers in developing countries to transition to ‘agroforestry’. We’re already helping over 200.000 farmers in developing countries to improve their livelihoods. But we’re aiming for millions. 
• Innovative Tech: We’ve developed innovative Remote Sensing technology that allows us to monitor the development of the individual farmers’ agroforestry systems and determine the carbon th 
• Impact: We’re working with local partners, governments and corporates that want to make a difference. We have a large degree of freedom to build new applications and scale the Acorn proposition.
• People: Young, dedicated and purpose driven project team within the W&R Innovation department of the Rabobank. 
• Culture: Not your average banking culture. We makes things happen faster, we dare to fail, we celebrate our successes. We are a scale-up operating in the safe confinements of a corporate environment.  

You and your job
In the next year, the proposition is aimed to scale significantly. Your role will become key as you are the go to person for platform users with problems, questions, processing requests and data quality issues. In addition, you are perfectly positioned to identify improvements in processes, functionalities and the general set up of the platform. Besides helping out platform users within the Acorn team as well as users in developing countries (mostly online), you communicate your ideas for further improvement to your team members as you are part of a team of PO’s and developers that are working on the continues improvement of the systems that together make up the Acorn platform.  

Practical Examples 

• In practice, you are the go to person for any and all platform related (operational) issues, questions, challenges.
• You are on top of day to day business for platform users. You’re constantly informed of ongoing processes and user problems that require attention. You support the different workstreams in successfully completing their part of the process on the platform, help them with their challenges, ultimately to get the right information in the system so that the business continuity is secured.
• You develop training materials and provide trainings and demo’s to business users.
• A deep knowledge of the platform’s functionalities and limitations
• This requires: 
• A solid understanding of the proposition and a thorough understanding of the E2E process 
• An understanding of the tasks and responsibilities of each workstream and what they can and should do in the platform
• An understanding of the Platform’s underlying data model
• Experience with MS Dynamics or the ability to pick up on this super fast
• Tech savviness; an IT background is not required, but it helps if you pick things up fast.

You preferably have experience in a system support role or an ability and willingness to quickly learn and absorb all knowledge required (proposition, processes, system).

The 60 people in the Acorn team (of which 15 in IT) are working with partners to support millions of smallholder farmers . Aim is to transition to agroforestry and onboard them on the Acorn platform to measure, monetize and market the carbon sequestration on behalf of the farmers to increase their income while at the same time removing CO2 from the atmosphere. You and your talent 

• A Bachelor’s or Masters degree
• 1 to max 3 years working experience
• Can do mentality – you see a challenge in any problem that you are confronted with. You have an intrinsic drive to want to help out the team members that reach out to you.
• An organized way of working, ability to keep track of open items, follow up and chase
• Strong ability to learn and develop new skills, in case of limited experience in Microsoft Dynamics, there is at a strong willingness to learn
• Strong collaboration skills combined with service orientation.
• Fluent in both Dutch and English, both spoken and written.
• Passion for the profession
• Strong motivation to contribute to the goals that we aim to realize – improving the livelihoods of smallholder farmers and contributing to fighting climate change
• You will be replacing an employee that is moving to a new role in Acorn. There will be a period of knowledge transfer.

This is what we offer you 

• Up to €5.000,00 gross per month (scale 8)
• Thirteenth month's salary and 8% holiday allowance
• An extra budget of 10% of your gross salary to be used at your discretion. Buy extra holiday hours, add more to your pension savings or ask for part of the extra budget to be paid out.
• The possibility to order working from home facilities (desk, chair and screen) and a monthly home working allowance of up to € 40
• 100% reimbursement of commuting costs if you travel by public transport
