Strategic Communications Lead

Then join our team as a Strategic Communications Lead to drive the strategic management agenda and advise on communication issues, ensuring OneCRO voice!

You and your job

As our Strategic Communications Lead, you deliver integrated, end-to-end communication strategy and execution. You ensure a constant, coherent and consistent execution of the messaging, draw up the communications- and editorial calendar and deliver state of the art communication assets. You’re down-to-earth, courageous and creative in your reflections, questions, communications advice and management. You contribute to the Rabobank Risk domain CRO by identifying communication opportunities and risks. Additionally, you support -solicited and unsolicited- (senior) management with your expertise and craftsmanship in multiple communication disciplines.

  • together with ca. 10 direct colleagues of whom two are dedicated to communication

  • 36 hours per week

An average working day

After waking up and consuming today’s news, you support management – solicited and unsolicited - with your expertise and craftsmanship on topics that are often complex and politically sensitive. You provide independent advice and coordinate integrated implementation on various projects. You are an inspiring leader for your communications team.

You will work closely with communication peers bankwide in the Netherlands and colleagues in the international regions as well as business stakeholders across the Rabobank Group. By example, you might check in on the status of the preparation of a big event that is being organised under your supervision; then there is the final edit to the CRO Newsletter and later you have several meeting with in- and external colleagues working on various assets such as a powerpoint presentation for the Managing Board, a new format for an online Magazine, and the launch of a new Labor Market Campaign.

Meanwhile you guide the producer who needs guidance with questions from one of the locations where an event will take place. Lastly you meet with one of the MT CRO members who would like to announce an upcoming re-organisation of the team and asks for advice.

You and your talent

  • A master degree in communication, media or journalism.

  • Experienced (>10 years) strategic communications lead with proven leadership skills

  • Trusted advisor to senior business stakeholders, up to Managing Board level

  • Strong copywriting skills, with fluently spoken and written English and Dutch

  • Team player, making others better

  • Socially engaged character, curious about people and the future

  • Energetic, optimistic personality

  • An assessment, eg a communication case and/or a language test, may be part of the selection process.

This is what we offer you

  • Up to € 8.111,-- gross per month (scale 11)

  • A thirteenth month and holiday pay
