You and your job
You are the forefront of contributing to Rabobank’s originate-to-distribute strategy, and you will be able to enjoy a dynamic working environment. You will be part of the broader Portfolio Distribution team of 17 colleagues, where the strategic distribution agenda of the bank is centralised, whilst at the same time experiencing the start-up atmosphere of Vista Hypotheken.
Over the last years, RFM has grown into a successful investor platform which manages the investors’ interest on behalf of Vista Hypotheken, which has become a material player in the Dutch mortgage market, with a strong ambition to grow and remain a frontrunner in sustainability.
As a portfolio manager, you will manage mortgage investment portfolios of institutional investors (e.g. pension funds and insurance companies), support senior staff in closing deals with new investors, be a sounding board for Vista Hypotheken in its rate setting strategies and actively contribute to other new business initiatives. This role will provide you with the perfect opportunity to learn the dynamics of fund management on behalf of external investors.
Practical Examples
Supporting commercial activities of our investment offerings, including pitches to new prospects throughout Europe to a variety of financial institutions
Staying on top of developments in the market and performing market analyses, and making the connection to what this means for our investors
Assist our investors in translating their constraints into investment plans and formulating pricing strategies towards the interest rate committee of Vista
Reviewing and monitoring existing investors' portfolios, including communicating developments to investors in periodic investor meetings
Cooperating with developers and Portfolio Managers to develop and improve reports for our investors
You are able to make a link between legal documentation and business solutions.

The Corporate Development department is part of the CFO domain and its goal is to formulate the bank’s strategy, create room for future growth by optimizing Rabobank's balance sheet, executing M&A and asset portfolio transactions in all regions, and offering fund management solutions for institutional investors.
The Corporate Development department consists of three pillars: Portfolio Management (PM), Corporate Strategy and Corporate Mergers & Acquisitions (CM&A). Within PM, you will join the Portfolio Distribution team that consists of a structured finance team executing transactions on Rabobank’s balance sheet, Structured Asset Administration & Reporting, and Rabo Fund Management. Together we provide tailored solutions to our investors.
You and your talent
If you are interested, it is important that you recognise some of the following below:
Master’s degree in Finance, Economics, Econometrics or similar
Minimum of 3 years of relevant working experience
You are a team player that enjoys working together in a fast pace environment
Affinity with mortgages and/or Fixed Income
Outstanding communication skills and able to assist in giving pitches to clients
Analytical mindset and a fast learner
Strong networking and relationship building skills
Fluent English and Dutch (or willingness to learn Dutch).

Salary in Rabobank’s scale 9 (between € 4,000 - € 5,500 gross per month, depending on the relevant experience that you bring);
plus a thirteenth month and holiday allowance;
