You and your job
Getting an overview of the whole bank from A to Z. Imagine… building up your network of people interested in quantitative subjects, both in- as well as outside of the bank. As a Model Validator, you can make a difference by reviewing quantitative models from all parts of the bank, interacting with different stakeholders, analysing and presenting your results, sharing and building your quantitative knowledge.

Practical examples

• Validation of a model may identify a deficiency prior to actual use of models used by business colleagues to determine if a client gets a loan and at what price enabling Rabobank to remain a rock solid bank;  
• Validation of a model may identify a deficiency in provision models which can then be resolved or mitigated.

Top 3 responsibilities

• You will perform validations of credit risk models (to be) used in Rabobank developed by model development.
• Lead validation projects and coach colleagues, knowledge sharing is key.
• You have to cooperate a lot with our important stakeholders in model development, risk management and the business.

You and your talent

• You have a Master degree or PHD in quantitative finance, econometrics, mathematics, physics or related field
• You have at least 5 years of working experience in a financial institution in relation to building or validating (risk) models. Experience with credit risk models (IRB or IFRS9) would be beneficial.
• You have a healthy critical attitude
• You are result-driven and are able to guide other team members towards an end result;
• You have hands-on programming experience
• You have strong communication and presentation skills. You have excellent English communication skills, both in writing and in oral communication

This is what we offer you

• a gross salary between € 4.718 and € 6.741 (scale 10)
• thirteenth month's salary and 8% holiday allowance
• an extra budget of 11% of your gross salary to be used at your discretion. Buy extra holiday hours, add more to your pension savings or ask for part of the extra budget to be paid out
• a pension scheme to which you contribute 3.5% or 5.5%
