You and your job
As a Senior IT Risk Manager you support, challenge and oversee the risk profile of our international Wholesale & Rural organization specifically on IT risks.
You will be part of the global operational risk oversight team within Risk Management W&R. In this role you will be the oversight partner, challenging that all operational risks are managed within appetite. You perform this by overseeing that 1st line conducts the risk and control activities and you provide your opinion on operational risks and specifically from IT risk point of view both on current organisation and on material organisational and product changes when there is mainly an system component.
Next to the global role, you will have the IT risk manager role for region Asia. This will cover about 20% of your time.

With you as a Senior Operational Risk Manager, the team will consist of 10 colleagues in Utrecht and approximately 60 colleagues globally.

In the global Operational Risk ‘Wholesale & Rural’.
Together with 10 direct colleagues in Utrecht and IT risk managers in WR regions.
Together with Group IT risk manager
40 hours per week.
An average working day
On a daily basis you will be involved in the oversight of the IT risks related to CPO domain, where digitalisation is central. You will cover all operational risk oversight on CPO domain. In carrying out this oversight role you will maintain balance between independence from the business lines whilst closely cooperating and partnering with the business.
In case of material changes to the organisation or products, where there is a digitalisation or IT component you will get involved. You will leverage from IT expertise on Group level and be in close contact with them. If there is a risk acceptance on IT risk with impact on WR risk profile you will provide with opris/IT opinion.
You will also prepare the quarterly IT risk reporting to RMC WR.
You will manage the IT risk community within WR and be a representative in IT risk working Groups.
Remotely you will support and perform the role of IT risk manager for region Asia for about one day a week.
Keeping on top of developments and changes within 1st Line and providing your risk view, liaising with Regional Operational Risk Managers and Risk Control Partners will be an important part of this role.

You and your talent
Customer focus, collaboration, professionalism, strategic view, agility and result driven are clearly essential for the role of Senior Operational Risk Manager. In addition, it's important that you recognise most of the requirements in the checklist below:
An Academic degree in Information Technology or (Business) Economics subject with additional courses related to IT risk management (CISSP, CISM or CISA).
Additional experience and education/courses related to cyber security, cloud technology, cryptographic, business continuity, data management.
More than 8 years of relevant experience within a banking environment with focus on digitalisation.
Experience in communicating with and advising senior and executive management, with a professional attitude.
You are analytical and have proven knowledge in drawing conclusions from data.
You are able to inspire and enthuse others by presentation and personal impact.
Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
Excellent team-player, easily co-operating with colleagues from different departments.
Familiarity with ARCHER (operational risk management system) is an advantage.
This is what we offer you
up to € 6.741,24 gross per month (depending on experience and seniority placement in scale 10).
Thirteenth month's salary and 8% holiday allowance.
an extra budget of 11% of your gross salary to be used at your discretion. Buy extra holiday hours, add more to your pension savings or ask for part of the extra budget to be paid out.
a combination of working from home and at the office.
