Screening Model Configurator FEC

You leverage your data science skills to optimize 3 different screening models Rabobank uses to detect and prevent financial economic crime (FEC) with our customers and their transactions.

You and your job
Being a gatekeeper to the financial system is easier said than done. It requires cutting-edge detection techniques and in-depth knowledge of the integrity risks associated with the products we offer. Your main task, as a Screening Model Configurator FEC, will be to design and optimize our models used to screen clients and their large volumes of transactions in real-time. Your main purpose will be sanctions risk. Clever design, configuration and tuning choices from you are key in making these models highly effective.

Practical examples

• You revise fuzzy text matching thresholds in transactions and come up with challenger configurations.
• You analyze transaction data to pinpoint improvement opportunities in heightened risk areas.
• You prepare our transaction filtering engine to effectively screen the SWIFT XML payment message format.

Top 3 responsibilities

• You apply root cause analysis to recurring false positives and formulate corrective measures to enhance efficiency.
• You perform ad hoc analyses to test the robustness of model configuration parameters and come up with creative solutions to fine-tune the system.
• You analyse transaction data periodically to inform decision-making in relation to model configuration, development and calibration.

10 colleagues at the Global Sanctions Expertise Center ensure screening policies are complemented by hands-on technical screening models. You and your talent

• You have experience (5+ years) with model configuration in one of the following roles or comparable; data analyst, model configurator, system administrator, business analyst, screening expert, etc.
• You are highly skilled in analyzing data and master related tools (e.g. MS Excel, Databricks).
• Prior knowledge on transaction message formats or within the Financial Economic Crime domain is a distinct advantage.
• You enjoy working in a high-stakes environment, with both complex internal stakeholder fields as well as regulatory influences.
• You are comfortable challenging the status quo continuously, identify problems and focus on delivering crafty solutions.

This is what we offer you  

• Up to € 5.655,50 gross per month (scale 9);
• Thirteenth month's salary and 8% holiday allowance. 
• An extra budget of 11% of your gross salary to be used at your discretion. Buy extra holiday hours, add more to your pension savings or have part of the extra budget paid out.
