We are looking for a Development Engineer with a technical background and a "can-do" mentality who is eager to further grow as an Engineer and join our Wealth Grid. Our Grid is part of Digital Banking services that is responsible for creating the smoothest banking experience for our commercial and private clients.
Your work
You will be working on projects like “The Wealth Ordering API”. As a backend developer you will build, test and maintain the solutions. Your work area include:
- Develop APIs that are scalable and highly performant.
- Create and maintain application code in Java Spring Boot and Camunda.
- Produce robust code in the Azure Cloud, or on premise.
- Work and maintain applications in a DevOps team with autonomy and participate proactively in team decisions.
- Work on the training and learnings path created as part of the chosen development plan.
- Collaborate with team members.
- Active participation in the relevant communities like Java, BPM, Azure etc.
Working environment
Grid Wealth is responsible for a wide variety of products and services to our Retail and Private Banking customers. We serve clients in Investments, pensions, and fiscal saving clients. We help them to oversee their finances, make sound financial decisions and grow their Wealth for comfortable financial future. In the grids colleagues from both business and IT work together in multidisciplinary teams and share responsibility for delivering the roadmap of our Investments and Advice solutions in the Netherlands. Within the grid we develop and maintain a variety of applications using many different technologies and innovative (IT)concepts! We have embraced DevOps way of working where we strive towards self-organizing teams which have the autonomy to make quick decisions. The atmosphere within the team and the department is open and informal. You will work in a diverse team with many different nationalities, and a good gender diversity and junior-senior ratio. We work hard, but there is certainly room for fun!
We have a variety of communities and chapters, within Grid Wealth, where the knowledge is actively shared. Chapters are divided based on specialized skill area and you will be placed in one of the chapters. Chapters have chapter lead who will guide the chapter members to develop/enhance the skills, help with setting of development path and personal goals. We believe in continuous learning and development, so we ask you to choose your own development path in consultation with your chapter lead (Also HR Manager).

Your profile
• 5+ years of developing software in Java with an extensive proven experience in developing microservices over a RESTFul architecture integrating with different systems.
• 3+ years developing and managing workflow/case management solutions with an extensive proven experience with Camunda.
• Ability to design & model APIs which are hosted on a API gateway.
• Hands-on experience in working with Spring, Spring Boot, JPA, Hibernate, JDBC, consuming SOAP services and Rest APIs.
• Experience in API layer like security, custom analytics, throttling, caching, logging, monetization, request and response modifications etc.
• Experience in delivering quality software in accordance to the standards set in CI tools such Sonarqube, fortify and nexus.
• Experience with Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD), version control , release and change management.
• Experience with Microsoft Azure Cloud and Azure DevOps is an advantage.
• Experience in creating REST API documentation using Swagger and YAML or similar tools desirable.
• Experience with Security frameworks (e.g., JWT, OATH2)

- Knowledge of the software development lifecycle including design, configuration, testing, debugging, implementation, and support of large-scale, business-centric and process-based applications.
- Must be fluent (spoken and written) in English.
- Fluent in Dutch (advantage).
- Ability to develop strong relationships with API consumers (such as development teams and developers) to understand their needs.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate complex technical information in a condensed manner to various stakeholders verbally and in writing.
