Business Unit
Operations, which is part of the SBU Corporate Center, enables commercial units to successfully execute deals that are initiated within NIBC. Operations delivers support during the initiation phase of a transaction and delivers after-care until maturity. We aim to deliver a constant high level of quality. Operations consists of 6 sub units that are dedicated to specific commercial activities. Operations typifies as being an open environment with plenty of growth opportunities within the BU or within the bank.  

Operations Credit & Agency Services (CAS) provides support to the Corporate Banking SBU. The tasks of the department are both administrative (new and existing loan agreements) as well as commercial in nature (alignment with NIBC's commercial staff and contacts with colleague bankers and investors).

The CAS team performs the following activities: 

  • Management before payment of loan: assess new proposals; take control over the agreements and action calendar linked to the agreements.
  • Payment: align payments with debtors, colleague banks and investors; ensure correct payment.
  • Management after payment of loan: draft reports; maintain maturity and interest rate calendars; determine and administer interest rate revisions. 

Job Profile
Provide administrative and commercial support of all lending and loan-management activities, act as contact for colleagues and portfolio managers, and support the management of loans-administration processes for third parties (banks and other investors). 

Tasks & responsibilities: 

  • Administrates the internal credit-approval process;
  • Assesses draft term sheets;
  • Sets up loan administration and/or agency tools for new loan agreements;
  • Coordinates loan payments externally (with borrowers and co-lenders) and internally and arranges for correct and punctual payment;
  • Coordinates with borrowers and co-lenders any amendments of loan agreements, and subsequently takes care of proper implementation thereof;
  • Processes amendments to credit conditions;
  • Processes loan roll-overs;
  • Communicates to borrowers and co-lenders all relevant information pertaining to maturities, roll-overs en activities calendar;
  • Acts as contact point for borrowers and co-lenders, and as such will handle questions and requests independently or in conjunction with the team manager;
  • Based on the Credit Events calendar, monitors compliance by borrowers with information requirements (financial reporting), financial covenants and general requirements. Results are communicated internally with the relevant sectors and externally to co-lenders (in case of syndicated loans);
  • Analyses credit accounts;
  • Performs actions pertaining to month-end closing. 

Job Requirements 

Education 

  • Bachelors degree preferably in economics, or proven job experience on a bachelor level 

Experience 

  • 1 - 3 years working experience in a similar role
  • Knowledge of ACBS is preferable

  • Fluent in Dutch and English (spoken en written)
