Graduation Internship – International Business Advisory

Within Retail NL, International Business Advisory (IBA) plays a central role in supporting Rabobank’s internationally active business clients. From various specialized disciplines, IBA provides in-depth expertise and advice across the full spectrum of international business. We support our clients and internal stakeholders with complex international issues such as country and sector risks, geopolitical developments, market entry, and international structures.

We do so by delivering independent analyses, strategic advice, and by connecting relevant expertise both within and outside the organization.

For our team, we are looking for a motivated and analytically strong student for a graduation internship. During this internship, you will conduct research within this international arena. You will work on substantive issues related to international business, as well as on how we effectively communicate our knowledge and added value.

In addition to the content-related aspects of the role, this internship places strong emphasis on communication and positioning: How do we reach our internationally active business clients and prospects with our services? And how do we ensure internal stakeholders clearly understand what IBA does, where our expertise lies, and when we can be engaged?

    What will you do?
    • Conduct a graduation research project within the field of international business
    • Analyze country, market, and sector information and international risks
    • Research how International Business Advisory can effectively reach and serve internationally active business clients and prospects
    • Contribute ideas on the positioning and visibility of IBA within and outside the organization
    • Help improve internal communication about our role, expertise, and services
    • Translate analyses and research results into clear insights, recommendations, and communication materials
    • Collaborate with experienced advisors in an internationally oriented team

Do you already have a strong proposal for an internship or research project within our department? We welcome your ideas and are happy to explore together how to shape a suitable and substantive assignment.

    You and Your Talent

You are an enthusiastic and eager-to-learn student who wants to develop in a dynamic work environment. You have an interest in customer-focused work aimed at (large) business clients. In addition, you:

    • Are enrolled in an HBO or WO program in business administration, (commercial) economics, communication, marketing, or a similar field
    • Are proactive and possess strong communication skills
    • Work well in a team and have strong analytical capabilities
    • Have an interest in the financial sector
    What We Offer
    • A challenging internship at a bank that is deeply embedded in society
    • Professional guidance and ample room for personal development
    • A dynamic work environment where your ideas are truly valued
    • A competitive internship allowance and a strong boost to your CV
    Development at Rabobank

Development is our highest priority—because you learn by doing, making mistakes, and succeeding. At Rabobank, we offer the right balance between freedom and guidance. Discover talents you didn’t know you had. Specialize in a specific field or explore where your strengths and interests lie.

During your internship, you can count on strong supervision. You will work alongside experienced colleagues and have frequent interaction with young professionals.
