Your key responsibilities include:
- Agentic Workflows: Design and implement workflows that strengthen our security controls and enhance automation.
- Problem Solving: Identify problems and opportunities within the Cyber Defence domain, using data science to address them. You will work closely with stakeholders to determine business value and guide them toward optimal solutions.
- Data Mastery: Build deep domain knowledge and perform extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) of large, complex datasets to make them fit for purpose.
- Model Development: Apply state-of-the-art statistical and data science techniques, balancing simplicity and sophistication where appropriate.
- Production Deployment: Evaluate and deploy machine learning models effectively in production environments.
- Collaboration: Communicate results and insights clearly to stakeholders, fostering cooperation and alignment. Educate end-users to maximize the value of implemented solutions.
- Mentorship: Assist and mentor junior team members, providing guidance in their daily activities.
- Knowledge Sharing: Actively contribute to team learning by hosting or initiating knowledge-sharing sessions to improve overall team efficiency and expertise.

You are a highly motivated and skilled professional with a passion for data, machine learning, and cybersecurity. You thrive in dynamic environments, enjoy solving complex problems, and love working with like-minded individuals to make a meaningful impact. You have strong consultancy skills to identify and address the "real" problems, guiding stakeholders toward impactful solutions. On top you're able to mentor and coach junior team members. You're know for your creativity and collaboration skills and you’re a team player who isn’t afraid to ask for or give feedback. And you feel comfortable to work on multiple concurrent projects while managing priorities effectively.
Hard skill wise we're looking for someone with the following skills:
- A quantitative MSc, PhD, or equivalent experience.
- A minimum of 3+ years of work experience in data science or machine learning.
- Proficiency in Machine Learning algorithms (e.g., Scikit-learn, TensorFlow, Keras, PyTorch).
- Strong expertise in techniques like AKS and MCP.
- Strong programming skills in Python, PySpark, KQ, and SQL.
- Expertise in statistics, mathematics, and experiment design.
- Proficiency in implementing Agentic workflows.
- Proficiency in ETL processes and working with big data systems.
