At a glance

Are you ready to take on a role that significantly impacts the regulatory resilience of ABN AMRO? As a Regulatory Finding Manager (Non-Financial Risk Specialist) in the Regulatory Finding Management team, you will be responsible for shaping and driving the strategic direction of regulatory finding management across the bank. You will act as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders, influence decision-making processes, and ensure ABN AMRO is equipped to address regulatory findings at a strategic level. This role focuses on maintaining oversight, monitoring progress, and ensuring quality assurance in closing findings. Additionally, this role provides expert advisory on findings closure. The role will conduct holistic root cause and impact analyses across processes and products, to address broader issues pro-actively as to minimise and prevent the occurrence of regulatory findings across the bank. The role requires close collaboration with other departments across Risk and Compliance, especially where expert input is required.

Your job

As a Regulatory Finding Manager (Non-Financial Risk Specialist) in the Regulatory Finding Management team, your role is structured around three key priorities:

1. Finding Management:

  • Maintaining oversight of open regulatory findings and ensuring timely assignment to appropriate Finding Owners.
  • Assisting with the coordination of responses to regulatory findings across stakeholders and ensuring proper documentation.
  • Monitoring the implementation status of action plans and flagging delays or issues to relevant stakeholders.
  • Contributing to reporting on the status of open findings, ensuring data accuracy and action-based insights.
  • Supporting the coordination of Internal Model Investigations (IMIs) and On-Site Inspections (OSIs) and updating the OSI playbook as needed.

2. Root Cause Support:

  • Supporting the analysis of regulatory findings to identify contributing factors and areas for improvement.
  • Assisting with impact assessments and collaborating with team members to propose solutions for systemic risks.

3. Quality Assurance:

  • Reviewing proposed action plans to ensure completeness and adherence to internal policies.
  • Supporting the administrative closure of findings, including final documentation and process validation.
  • Assisting with the standardisation of processes, documents, and tooling to improve efficiency and consistency.

Work environment

The Regulatory Risk & Transformation (RR&T) department is a new function established to execute the mandate of the Regulatory Committee, divided into the following four teams/topics:

  • Regulatory Supervisory Relations
  • Regulatory Change Management
  • Regulatory Findings Management
  • Regulatory Risk Oversight

Regulatory Findings Management is one of the four key teams within RR&T, directly contributing to the department’s mission to strengthen the bank’s regulatory compliance framework and foster a proactive approach to managing regulatory risks.

The teams will need to collaborate closely on many topics and may need to form ad-hoc task forces to deal with certain priority issues.

Your profile

You are an organised and detail-oriented professional with a background in non-financial risk management or related areas. You are eager to contribute to team goals and grow your expertise in regulatory risk management.

Check your profile:

  • Experience of 5+ years in (non-financial) risk management or related fields, with a focus on operational or process-oriented roles. Relevant experience, specifically with institutions such as the ECB, DNB, or similar supervisory authorities is an absolute plus.
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to assess data, identify trends, and flag issues to stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with regulatory frameworks and compliance standards applicable to financial services.
  • Ability to collaborate with stakeholders and contribute to team objectives.
  • Solid organisational and documentation skills, ensuring accuracy and adherence to policies.
  • Proficiency in producing reports and maintaining process documentation.
  • Communication skills in English, both written and verbal. Dutch language skills are advantageous but not mandatory.
