If so, we invite you to join our Financial Risk Grid Value Proposition Team at ABN AMRO as a Credit Risk Consultant.
As part of the Value Proposition Team (VPT), your focus will be on optimizing change implementations within the Financial Risk Grid. You’ll be responsible for translating complex Finance and Risk (regulatory) requirements into actionable proposals, enabling various change teams to implement them effectively.
The Financial Risk Grid supports a broad range of Finance and Risk processes, making it a dynamic and stimulating environment. Together, we aim to redefine the way we work—creating a more agile, efficient, and forward-looking organization.
As a Credit Risk Consultant, you’ll lead large, complex implementation projects that impact the entire credit value chain. Your work will focus on key Financial Risk processes and systems, such as:
- IRB model implementation & Rating Assignment
- Credit Risk RWA (Risk-Weighted Assets) calculation
- Economic Capital calculation
- IFRS 9 provision calculation
- Stress Testing processes and related calculators
- Distressed Client Management
- Risk Classification and assessments
In this role, you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping the future of ABN AMRO’s risk management. Your contributions will have a direct impact on the bank’s compliance with regulations, profitability, and capital position. - Experience: At least 5 years of experience in relevant roles, preferably within large financial institutions or consulting firms. Demonstrated success in managing complex projects is essential.
- Education: A university degree or equivalent professional experience.
Skills:
- Credit Risk Expertise: Strong knowledge of Credit Risk, including Capital Requirements Regulation (CRR), IFRS 9 Financial Instruments and/or EBA Guidelines on Loan Origination and Monitoring (LOM). An affinity with data and its application within Credit Risk is considered an advantage.
- Change Management: Significant experience in complex change environments, with the ability to translate strategic plans into efficient delivery.
- Analytical Thinking: A sharp analytical mindset, with proficiency in tools like PowerPoint, Word, and Excel.
- Project & Stakeholder Management: Strong planning and organizational skills, with the ability to engage, activate, and manage diverse stakeholders effectively.
- Communication: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Organizational Awareness: A strong sensitivity to organizational dynamics and stakeholder needs.
- Collaboration: A team player with the ability to work independently when required
