Non-Financial Risk Specialist III (I&ORM) End to End NFR program(322143)
You play a central role in strengthening how ABN AMRO identifies, assesses and controls non-financial risks. As a risk expert in the E2E NFR Program, you work hands-on on risk assessments, controls, tooling and governance. You guide the business in using risk tools effectively and steer where needed. Within two years, you help deliver a bank-wide, future-proof risk and control framework that supports safe, compliant banking. Your impact is visible across teams, tools and decision-making.
You work as a risk expert within one workstream of the End‑to‑End Non‑Financial Risk (E2E NFR) Program, with a primary focus on the Risk Assessment workstream. You translate regulatory expectations and internal findings into practical risk solutions. You engage directly with the business on risk tooling and execution, while keeping an overview of the full program landscape. You combine methodical thinking with operational delivery and keep risk management effective, usable and aligned.
In addition, you:
- Deliver concrete outcomes within the Risk Assessment workstream
- Guide the business in applying NFR tools such as RCSA
- Improve risk methodologies, definitions and control testing
- Align governance, roles and reporting across teams
- Support data optimisation and implementation of new risk tooling

Key relationships
• You will report to one of three Workstream Leads of E2E NFR, depending on placement.
You join the E2E Non‑Financial Risk Program, a focused program team of around 14 colleagues, including Risk and SEI professionals. You work closely with the Risk Assessment workstream, led by the workstream lead Ingrid, and one other dedicated colleague. Other workstreams cover key controls, policies and ways of working, and collaboration across these streams is part of daily work. The program operates at the heart of the bank and works closely with the business, which owns execution. Your role focuses on direction, alignment and quality. You mainly work from the ABN AMRO office, in a professional, collaborative environment where expertise, clarity and open dialogue matter.
You bring calm, structure and clarity in a complex environment. You connect easily with stakeholders at different levels and know when to guide, challenge or support. You enjoy working hands-on, while keeping the bigger picture in mind. You communicate clearly, listen carefully and translate risk topics into practical actions. You feel comfortable in change and know how to keep people engaged when timelines are tight.
You also bring:
- At least 7 years of experience in non-financial risk roles
- Proven experience in complex risk or regulatory programs
- Strong knowledge of NFR concepts, both methodical and operational
- Hands-on experience with NFR tooling, including RCSA, monitoring, testing and audit findings
- Ability to assess relevant risk triggers and events
- Experience in risk expert or advisory roles
- Fluent written and spoken English

- The gross monthly salary displayed above is based on a 36-hour work week, including vacation pay and benefit budget.
- The Benefit Budget is 11% of your salary. The Benefit Budget allows you to acquire additional employment benefits. If you make no purchases or reservations in the Benefit Shop in a given month, you are paid one twelfth of your Benefit Budget that month.
- Five weeks of vacation per year. You have the option to purchase an additional four weeks per year.
