Product Owner Regulatory Reporting (ABN AMRO Clearing)

The Regulatory Reporting block is responsible for a wide range of regulatory obligations across multiple jurisdictions. These include MiFIR transaction reporting, CSDR settlement discipline reporting, Commodity Position Reporting, SRO requirements (such as Large Trader Reporting, Gross Customer Margin Reporting and Closeout Reporting), and REMIT reporting for energy-related transactions. In this role, you ensure that ABN AMRO Clearing Bank (AACB) meets these obligations accurately, consistently, and in a timely manner. As Product Owner, you are responsible for setting and prioritising the block’s direction in line with the capability strategy, with alignment validated through the Quarterly Business Review and approved by the AACB Global Management Team. You drive the delivery and release of products, services, and capabilities that meet customer needs and business objectives, while owning and managing the block backlog from definition to acceptance. In addition, you lead and develop the Business Developers within your block, ensuring the right capabilities are in place to achieve key performance indicators.
A key part of the role is translating new and evolving regulations into clear functional and technical requirements. You work closely with technology, compliance, and operations teams to implement changes and ensure effective reporting processes. You also handle regulatory queries, contribute to consultation papers, and maintain strong relationships with regulators and exchanges. Data quality is central to this role. You validate and monitor reporting data through reconciliations, logical checks, and multiple control frameworks, ensuring that reporting is reliable, transparent, and explainable end-to-end. Additionally, you oversee the stability and scalability of the reporting technology stack, ensuring it remains aligned with regulatory developments and internal standards. The team operates within a modern data ecosystem, including Postgres, Oracle, Pentaho (Kettle), AWS Redshift, and Tableau. This environment combines regulatory expertise, analytical depth, and technical exposure, offering a dynamic setting with direct impact on the integrity of global financial markets.

In addition, you bring:
- Academic (university) level of thinking and working
- ~10 years of relevant experience, including process or functional management, and at least 5 years in IT services
- Proven experience in project management, process improvement, change management, and stakeholder management in complex organizations
- Knowledge of financial services (preferably in investing/securities), along with Agile, DevOps, and Lean ways of working
- Familiarity with IT infrastructure, back-end systems, platforms, applications, outsourcing, service management, software development, and APIs
