What’s your next step? Work on your goals and develop yourself both professionally and personally in our grid. We are keen to hear your story!

Your job

As a Business Developer / Analyst your primary responsibility is to translate business, risk, and regulatory requirements from SIM stakeholders and Corporate Office into clear, actionable business user stories for both SaaS application onboarding and home‑grown application development, ensuring secure and compliant implementation. You are responsible for ensuring that highly confidential and sensitive data (e.g. risk, compliance, legal, and management information) is handled in line with ABN AMRO’s security, privacy, and data‑classification standards. This includes defining requirements for access control, data segregation, logging, auditability, and integration with existing systems.

Throughout the delivery lifecycle, you take ownership of requirements clarification, refinement, and acceptance, working proactively with teams to ensure business needs are correctly understood and effectively realized.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Working in an Agile and DevOps environment, contributing actively to refinement, planning, and delivery to ensure outcomes are realized.
  • Collaborate with domain architects to co‑define solution designs that align with ABN AMRO’s architecture principles, risk frameworks, and strategic direction.
  • Advise internal and external stakeholders on design choices, regulatory constraints, data privacy, security, and technology trade‑offs, and build support for proposed solutions.
  • Monitor and analyse market trends, emerging technologies, and competitor developments, proactively challenging requirements to ensure solutions are scalable, compliant, and sustainable rather than short‑term fixes.
  • Lead and support SaaS application onboarding, including vendor assessment, data security and privacy reviews, regulatory compliance checks, integration with the bank’s IT landscape, and alignment with cloud approval board.

Working environment

As a Business Developer / Analyst you will be part of a team with a strong focus on Non‑Financial Risk, working at the intersection of business, risk, and IT. In this role, you will develop in‑depth knowledge of products, processes, and systems supporting functions such as Compliance, SIM, Data, and Operational Risk, and translate stakeholder needs into concrete solutions.

Team Highlights:

  • Agile Scrum working environment where learning from mistakes is encouraged.
  • Close collaboration between IT Engineers and Business Developers.
  • An international environment where you’ll collaborate with diverse cultures and partners.

Your profile

You are an excellent stakeholder manager who collaborates effectively, communicates clearly, and adapts your approach to different audiences. You are results-driven, with a strong passion for innovation and continuous improvement, and you bring the energy, ambition, and delivery mindset needed to get things done.

Qualifications and skills:

  • 5 to 7 years of work experience in relevant fields, such as (business) analysis, design, development, testing, or DevOps.
  • Experience in SDLC and ITIL, ITSM tools like Service Now, Azure DevOps, Jira etc.
  • You have strong understanding of non‑financial risk, information security, data confidentiality, and regulatory obligations.
  • Hands-on experience with onboarding SaaS applications is a plus.

We are offering

Work alongside experienced colleagues in an environment where your ideas matter and your contributions are seen. You’ll have the freedom to make a substantial impact on the business while exploring and implementing modern technologies that create lasting value.
