What will you do?

This role of Head of Integrated Risk Reporting & Development is about creating real impact. To realize our vision, we are looking for leader mindset who will support the transformation of the Bank. As the Head of Integrated Risk Reporting & Development, you will play a crucial role for shaping ASN Bank’s Risk Reporting and Oversight framework to support Senior Management to make informed risk based decisions. This role entails people management, and the IRR&D team consists of approximately 10 professionals. Together with your team, you will be responsible for developing, implementing and monitoring reports and oversight frameworks. In this position, you will report to the Director of Enterprise Risk Management.

As a trusted advisor to the Director of Enterprise Risk Management, you facilitate and support the business and second line in effective Enterprise Risk Management. You will work closely with all departments of the bank to ensure that awareness of risk reporting and oversight is at an optimal level, and an integrated risk management is embedded within the bank. An important objective is to be demonstrably in control in an effective and efficient manner with regard to all the risk reports and oversight activities for CRO domain, and in doing so you will proactively and pragmatically advise all stakeholders by playing a leading role.

The role ensures that that risk information is accurate, timely, and decision-useful for the CRO Management Council, Executive Board and Supervisory Board, while also driving the digital transformation of risk management processes and platforms.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Leading a team of Enterprise risk specialists and GRC specialist focused on risk reporting, oversight and development. Build and lead a high-performing team of risk reporting and GRC specialists, fostering a culture of analytical rigor, innovation, and continuous improvement. Ensuring solid knowledge development (including providing training), risk management and advisory skills and growth in your team. In doing so, you also ensure performance management of your team, and that your team is up to date with relevant developments within ASN Bank.
  2. Own the ERM reporting framework whilst using AI/Automation in Risk Reporting. Lead the design and delivery of integrated risk reporting, ensuring clear, timely and decision-useful insights for the Executive Board, Supervisory Board, and regulatory stakeholders.
  3. Develop and implement a future-ready GRC tooling landscape, integrating risk, compliance, control, and policy management capabilities across the organisation. Lead the digitalisation of risk management, partnering with IT and data teams to implement scalable GRC platforms and automated reporting solutions.
  4. Translate risk data into strategic insights, strengthening the bank’s risk appetite monitoring, early-warning indicators, and forward-looking risk analytics. Ensure strong alignment between risk appetite, risk metrics, and reporting, enabling senior management to monitor emerging risks across financial and non-financial risk types.
  5. Developing, monitoring and evaluating policy, frameworks and standards within your area of expertise. It is important that you continuously mobilise your own team proactively, both in terms of professional content and stakeholder management, to make an impact on these themes throughout the organisation.
  6. Translating requirements from, among others e.g. ICLAAP/SREP, Recovery plan, Sustainability reporting, regulators and/or changing laws and regulations into concrete solutions and plans of action for our organization. In doing so, you will also play a leading role towards your team and other departments within the bank.
  7. Risk Data. ESG Risk & BCBS239 Alignment. Strengthen risk data aggregation and reporting capabilities, in line with BCBS 239 principles. Drive BCBS 239 and data governance improvements, ensuring risk data aggregation, lineage, and data quality standards are embedded in risk reporting processes. Ensure robust governance around risk data quality, lineage, and ownership. Promote consistent risk data definitions and harmonised taxonomies across the organisation. Embed ESG considerations into risk management practices and risk reporting.
  8. Stakeholder Collaboration & Communication

Lead the team of specialists to act as a key interface between Risk, Finance, Compliance, First line stakeholders and Technology teams. Foster a culture of data-driven risk management and continuous improvement. Drive projects independently from start to finish while leveraging teamwork to maximize impact. Strong communication and influencing skills enable you to effectively engage stakeholders and senior management, while maintaining focus on the big picture across multiple demanding responsibilities.

Your qualities

Education and Experience

  • You have obtained a master's degree in (Technical) Business Administration, Economics, Law, Information Science, or another study focused on Business and IT.
  • At least 10 years of experience in an expert role and/or (substantive) project roles in the field of the full breadth of all risk types within Risk Management, preferably within a financial institution.
  • You have at least 5 years of relevant management experience as a manager of a team in developing, advising on and demonstrably implementing risk management and reporting frameworks, governance frameworks and implementing laws and regulations.
  • You enjoy and have experience diving into the latest technological possibilities in order to be more efficiently demonstrably in control of the reporting initiatives.
  • Strong communication skills in both the Dutch and English language and combines this with strong conceptual and analytical skills.

Knowledge

  • CRD/CRR framework and EBA Internal Governance Guidelines
  • Risk Reporting and automation with tools (Power BI/Tableau/ GRC Tooling)
  • Risk Management Framework in Financial Institutions incl. Three Lines Model
  • ECB Climate Risk expectations, EU Taxonomy / CSRD
  • Good understanding of Dutch banking landscape.

This is what you get from us

This position is in scale 13 with a salary range between € 109.448,57 ,- and € 145.931,42 gross annual fixed income (13th month and 8% holiday allowance included) and based on 36 hours workweek.
